Unit 219 is a West facing second floor unit with a high ceiling and a Mezzanine. The lanai is nearly over the water, offering unparalleled views of the spectacular sunsets and rainbows, as well as all the Cove and ocean activity. Wave to your friends as they snorkel in the Cove! This unit is quite private and quiet, while the lawn, pool, BBQs and the Cove itself are still quite accessible.

Honokeana Cove is in Napili, West Maui, just a quarter mile south of Napili Bay's sandy public beach. The gated property surrounds a secluded Cove with a breathtaking view of the nearby island of Molokai and luxurious tropical landscaping.

The peaceful Cove offers some of the best snorkeling on Maui, with an abundance of coral formations, tropical fish, and green sea turtles. A sparkling heated swimming pool only steps from your condominium adds to the dreamlike atmosphere of this tropical paradise.

NEW TO VACATION CONDO RENTAL? If you're used to giant hotels with mile-long hallways, you'll find Honokeana Cove a refreshing change. You won't have hotel features like daily maid service, 24 hour desk, restaurant, gym or spa. Instead, you'll enjoy comfortable condos with full kitchen, bath and bedroom(s), perfect for couples, families and groups to relax together. We're not a "party" destination, because we keep quiet hours from 10 pm to 8 am. There are just 38 units in this gated oceanfront property, featuring basking sea turtles and never ending sunsets. Enhanced Cleaning and Disinfection: All Honokeana Cove units are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected before every guest. Housekeepers use EPA hospital-grade disinfectant sprays and cleaning agents with extra attention to all high-touch surfaces. All dishware including plates, bowls, glassware, coffee cups and silverware is washed at high temperature settings. All soft surfaces, including couches, occasional chairs and mattresses are sprayed with a disinfectant to assure cleanliness and safety. Linens and towels are washed with the highest heat temperature and additional drying time, to ensure proper sanitization.

Cancellations and Refunds: Bookings cancelled more than 30 days prior to check-in will receive refund of deposit less $50 cancellation fee. Less than 30 days prior to arrival date, cancellation forfeits the rental amount. However, if health or a personal issue causes you to cancel, contact the rental office. Guests are strongly encouraged to obtain trip insurance for protection from unforeseen circumstances.

Add one cleaning fee, damage waiver and Hawaii tax (17.962%) to all rates.

Free Parking for one vehicle. No Resort Fee. Hawaii taxes remitted by Honokeana Cove Rental Association LLC, Tax ID 067-626-5984-01. This unit has ceiling fans for temperature control.

  You truly can’t beat the view you get from this unit! I will truly miss my mornings sitting on the lanai! Would definitely stay again. The only thing that would make this a 10/10 would be an a/c unit. However, the weather and humidity were not unbearable and the afternoon winds cooled off the unit nicely. Out of 7 nights we only had 2 that were uncomfortable. The staff was amazing as well. The snorkeling!! The best and I felt so safe having my kids swim out in the cove. This is a place that I already miss! Thank you for such a wonderful visit!

  The Cove is the most beautiful place in the world! The water is pristine and gorgeous. The grounds are lovely and well-kept. It is a superb and peaceful place to enjoy extraordinary beauty and fantastic swimming! People are encouraged to respect the water and it's creatures.
  Su is so wonderfully welcoming, and always remembers my birthday and anniversary.; she creates such a friendly environment! She and Betty are both _very_ helpful!
  The apt was lacking many things it had formerly had--e.g. a rug, a couch, an additional chair, a c.d. player, additional silverware and glasses. Fortunately, Su and Betty helped greatly with these lacks.
  I do suggest the following in order to maintain the peaceful atmosphere of the cove:
  1) Movie Night should be eliminated (the blasting noise from a large screen is not conducive to a peaceful ambience)
  2) Cell phone talking should be banned from the pool area
  3) Children shouldn't be allowed to scream Marco Polo in the pool--especially at night. This (and a rule against cell phone talking) should be enforced.
  It also might be a good idea--for safety's sake--to put a railing on the walkway to the Cove entrance.

  Sadly, Covid kept us from going when planned over a year ago. And more sadly, while we were gone from our beloved Oregon home to go to this privileged paradise, our state had unprecedented heat waves due to climate change and killed over 50 people.   First off, this is an incredible location. The cove is beautiful even with the massive storm on the island and the huge waves. We were able to snorkel before the storm hit and what a great house reef. So many turtles.
  The unit was a little outdated and the kitchen could use a serious remodel, but for the most part that just didn't matter to us. The bathrooms were remodeled and there is new tile, but if I had to complain it would be about the dishwasher that just doesn't clean anything.
  The lanai hangs right over the ocean and I imagine it could get hot facing west in the summer, but was only a little bright when we were there. I have to add that the sliding doors to the lanai work amazingly well. We spent hours out there watching the whales and the turtles and the surfers.
  The place is kept spotless and the pool was delightful after a chilly snorkel or just to relax.
  I was a wonderful trip and a wonderful place to stay!

  This was our first visit to Maui during the holidays. We usually visit during the summer months but wanted a taste of Maui during the winter to experience the differences. Our family of 4, 2 adults and 2 high school seniors, thoroughly enjoyed the sightings of the whales from our balcony! The condo was exactly as advertised. It appears the owner is starting to update the condo with recently remodeled showers. The only downside we found was the kitchen is a bit small and the kitchen accessories were limited. Our favorite spot was the lanai which was literally located over the water where dozens of turtles sunbath and swim in the cove. Immediate access into the cove made it great for snorkeling.

  I know we arrived during the Covid era but that doesn’t excuse the filthy condo. All the dishes and glasses need to be washed because they were covered with dirt and dust the floor was so dirty that we had to use the towels to clean it ourselves. The refrigerator wouldn’t stay cold and needed a repair, The management response was” we live on an island do you expect us to just fly one in?”
  This is our fourth stay at Honokeana Cove, Every other state was Awesome!
  The one bright note is the on-site manager Ryan who is an absolute jewel. He went above and beyond to get a refrigerator fixed and was there late at night to give us our keys because of a mixup in our Covid test.

  This condo is located almost directly above the waters edge, ( watch the sea turtles) faces west ( enjoy sunsets, whale watching,) Is very quiet, and very well cleaned. the beds were very comfortable, every room has a quiet ceiling fan and good ventilation. The decorations are dated, and the carpet needs to be replaced as it feels a bit crunchy on bare toes. the steps up to the loft bedroom (which has its own bathroom and open views) are quite steep to climb if you have difficulty with steps.
  We never even touched the TV/ media elements, so no comment on this.
  we we very happy here cooking dinners or eating out at the many local eateries nearby. snorkeling was awesome in the cove, although rocky shore takes some thought and careful navigation (only about 6' before onto sand) but not horrible. the property manager (Sue ) was a hoot and the property grounds/ garden/ pool were immaculate and beautiful. So beautiful, small destination condo and grounds but very much a JEWELL !

  Over the years we have stayed at this condo many times. The location over the cove can’t be beat. However, last time we were there, almost two years ago, the place needed a serious remodel. Fast forward to today and you will find wallpaper peeling off the walls in the old bathrooms, uncomfortable beds (The king in the master is so soft that it is hard to get comfortable), and the furniture is old and worn. I hope that the homeowner will update this unit. If you don’t mind roughing it a bit, the views of the cove are awesome.

  I love this comples. Friendly guests and wonderful staff, great setting and so private! I would recommend a different unit only because the beds are not so good and the unit is rundown and no AC, the unit gets all the afternoon sun and is very hot which makes it hard to sleep. Too much furniture in the livingroom (and there is an old beat up chair and ottoman taking up space) and the furniture on lanai is a little big for the space. Wallpaper is peeling off the bathroom walls, fans missing pull cords....Not terrible but there are nicer units there.

  Although this unit has not been kept up to the standards of most of the other units in the complex, because of its ideal location we returned for a second visit.   The Cove rocks. Only place I stay on Maui. Great location, Great snorkeling with turtles, whale watching from Lani during season.
  Property grounds beautifully maintained. Small complex, quiet, no rushing allowed. Sue and others are always great. Always meet nice people, most have returned for years. Unit needs updating, bathroom wall paper peeling, shower door dangerous, MBR closet needs organizing, microwave needs replacing, outdoor chairs need repair. Tile and carpet downstairs need attention. The view is great, would stay in unit again, but it needs to be updated.

The views are outstanding and include seeing whales during season. Unit #219 is a great location with lounging turtles visible right below the lanai.   The unit next to mine was undergoing renovation for the entire 8 days I was there, with high pitched grinding or sawing (I felt like I was in a dentist's office), and the smell of paint and/or solvent). I was not ever informed that this would be the situation. I do not feel I got the relaxing accommodations I paid for. My unit also was dated, with peeling wallpaper in the bathroom. I was cool enough with the breeze and fan, but the loft guest got pretty hot.

  We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Honokeana Cove! Our unit was clean and spacious and perfectly located to be close to where the turtles rested on the rocks. I loved watching them rest-- so relaxing. The bed was very comfortable too. The unit was hot in the afternoon since it faced west, and the privacy screen helped to reduce the sun and glare. The condominium community is quiet-- which we loved. We will plan another visit in the near future. There is no better value for the price. We walked to nearby restaurants and loved hiking along the coast on the coastal path. Golf and spa are nearby, if desired, so the location was perfect. Loved snorkeling with the turtles and fishes! Suggestion-- to make access to the water easier.

  Besides the wonderful views and terrific snorkeling, the atmosphere around the resort is friendly and welcoming. From guests making suggestions for activities, where to dine or pick up food, to how to get into the water best. Just a super experience. I've been on the islands over 40 times in 15 years and the snorkeling this trip in the cove was as good as it gets. Having just stayed at the Westin Villas down the road where we also had a great experience, we already are planning our next trip back to Honokeana Cove.   Honokeana Cove is a gem of a location. All units have views of the cove , the sunsets are spectacular and the sea turtles are plentiful. Feels like family and everyone friendly.. unit 219 has one of the best views. My negatives are e furnishings. The unit is very tired. Couch makes horrible noises when you sit down, wallpaper in downstairs bath is peeling off the wall and those stairs are dangerous. The complex is well maintained. No beach and rocks slippery when you try to get into the water to snorkel.

  We had a great time at Honokeana Cove! The condo was clean, well kept and the views were stunning. The property is very well maintained, pool is great and the access to the cove, unlike most properties around, is excellent. The only possible issue is that the rooms aren't exceptionally private (all your windows will be open so people might be walking right by the outside of your bedroom) but that's a pretty minimal issue as the other guests were all quiet and friendly. Property management was very friendly and helpful, can't say enough good things about them.

  The view is spectacular from this 2nd floor unit. We loved watching the big sea turtles coming out of the water through the day to rest on the rocky beach just below our deck. The cove is perfect for snorkeling. Easy access into and out of the water, even for older snorkelers, as we are. Older visitors should know there are 19 steps to get up to this unit. The interior of this unit is okay but the furnishings are a little tired looking. The TV is very small, plus it was very difficult and sometimes impossible to get to the desired channel. The remote didn't want to take us where we wanted to go. Sometimes it did and other times it didn't.
  We had a wonderful dinner up the road at the restaurant at Napili Kai. Be sure to try their ceviche. Kimo's in Lahaina is wonderful too. And if you're up to spending more, Merriman's at Kapalua is lovely. At the other end of the $$$ spectrum, Ono Tacos on Honoapiilani Hwy is fabulous! And if you want to eat in, you can't beat the fresh seafood at the little fish market in the same strip as Ono Tacos.

  Our family stayed in unit 219 and we have a fantastic time. The unit is on the 2nd floor directly oceanfront with a spectacular view of the cove and ocean. We saw lots and lots of sea turtles and even a couple of them that beached on the rocks right in front of our balcony! We even spotted a whale in the distance and saw one of them breach!!! The unit had all the amenities one could want and then some. Even though the unit doesn't have AC, we never felt uncomfortable. Others who stayed at this unit noted it is outdated, etc. That didn't bother us. If you come to Maui expecting fancy decor then stay at a ritzy hotel! We will definitely be back and hope to stay at this unit again!

  This unt was perfect for turtle sighting! We saw a turtle beaching one evening in front of us!! The sunset can be very hot, but, we loved this unit for being so code to the cove/water!!!

  I was a bit worried when we first arrived. The heat and humidity in Hawaii was at a record high...but after settling in we found ways to deal with the heat. This unit had many fans which helped since the units here do not have AC! The loft area never got my daughter didn't want to sleep up there (wish there were more windows up there to help circulate the air..fans weren't enough). But that was the only downside and one that we could live with...Why??? Location, location!!!! Unit 219 is facing the cove and not the pool! From this unit you can see the turtles pop up all day long. We loved our location. The unit had everything we needed and was great for our small family. Being right on the cove, there is easy access to the water. We swam with the turtles every day- mostly in the evening to cool off. This was an amazing place that we hope to return to one day!!! Don't let the no AC turn you off.

  Our Hawaiian experience started the time we landed to the time we left for home. To get up with the birds at sunrise was mother nature's alarm clock's.
  We relaxed in everything we did. The turtle's were the plentiful the scenery and the whale's were spectacular. Lots of pictures and lots of fun.

  Nothing very wrong but the unit is "tired." The old dishwasher doesn't really clean the dishes, the refrigerator door squeaks, the smoke alarm goes off when you open the bathroom door and the steam escapes. But what was hard to take was that vacationers on either side of the unit used their lanais to smoke. I would like to see a firmer policy on this.
  The property is wonderful and the staff is great.

  The best place to stay in Maui. Krystal was so helpful with our check in. She went out of her way to help with the tv and wifi
  The only negative part were the guests in room 120 smoking nonstop on the Lanai. In paradise you should not have to smell cigarette smoke. Thank you all for such a wonderful place.

  We love going to Honokeana Cove,this was our &7th time.We have been in a different unit each time.We have loved all of them for different reasons.The condos are well stocked with everything you need to be comfortable and cook your meals.The staff is very friendly and the grounds are like a is the best place anywhere to see the most turtles.Napili beach is the best for swimming.Lahaina town is so much fun to visit for shopping and lunch.

  Clean condo, simply furnished, and the water is literally a stone's throw from the balcony. Great snorkeling in the cove...there was not a day there we didn't see at least 4 sea turtles. Complex is older, 2-story not fancy, but beautifully maintained. This is simple, quiet Hawaii. If you're looking for a fancy high rise resort with lots of activities, this isn't for you. Only down side of the unit was the sun shone directly in the window from 2:00 on. It meant we had killer sunsets, but the unit got very hot in the afternoon. We'll be back.

The units sit within 15 feet of the water's edge (I'm not kidding!) so the sound of the surf is an ever present backdrop to whale spotting, turtle watching and great conversations with other vacationers around the pool.   Couple of things: The bed in the main bedroom was not comfortable. 2nd, the gate needed a code to exit, not good during an emergency. Most exit gates do not need a code, to enable ease of exiting, during an emergency.

  I am missing the sea turtles already!
  We were 3 couples traveling together so we chose 219 & 120 - absolutely the best location! During the day, we counted turtles and during the evenings, we watched night herons, turtles, we even saw an eel swim by our balcony.
  It is a wonderful, quiet complex with the perfect position for snorkeling, sunsets, and great management that keep the tropical grounds in really good shape.
