The peaceful cove offers some of the best snorkeling on Maui, with an abundance of coral formations, tropical fish, and green sea turtles. A sparkling heated swimming pool only steps from your condominium adds to the dreamlike atmosphere of this tropical paradise.

NEW TO VACATION CONDO RENTAL? If you're used to giant hotels with mile-long hallways, you'll find Honokeana Cove a refreshing change. You won't have hotel features like daily maid service, 24 hour desk, restaurant, gym or spa. Instead, you'll enjoy comfortable condos with full kitchen, bath and bedroom(s), perfect for couples, families and groups to relax together. We're not a "party" destination, because we keep quiet hours from 10 pm to 8 am. There are just 38 units in this gated oceanfront property, featuring basking sea turtles and never ending sunsets. Enhanced Cleaning and Disinfection: All Honokeana Cove units are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected before every guest. Housekeepers use EPA hospital-grade disinfectant sprays and cleaning agents with extra attention to all high-touch surfaces. All dishware including plates, bowls, glassware, coffee cups and silverware is washed at high temperature settings. All soft surfaces, including couches, occasional chairs and mattresses are sprayed with a disinfectant to assure cleanliness and safety. Linens and towels are washed with the highest heat temperature and additional drying time, to ensure proper sanitization.

Cancellations and Refunds: Bookings cancelled more than 30 days prior to check-in will receive refund of deposit less $50 cancellation fee. Less than 30 days prior to arrival date, cancellation forfeits the rental amount. However, if health or a personal issue causes you to cancel, contact the rental office. Guests are strongly encouraged to obtain trip insurance for protection from unforeseen circumstances.

Add Hawaii tax (17.416%; 17.962% effective 1/1/2024) & one cleaning fee to all rates. Specify your total number of guests of all ages for an accurate rate quote.

Free Parking for one vehicle. No Resort Fee. Hawaii taxes remitted by Honokeana Cove Rental Association LLC, Tax ID 067-626-5984-01. This unit has air conditioning in the bedroom; there are also ceiling fans.

  We really enjoy the beauty of Honokeana Cove. It's a small complex. Love being able to go into the cove to snorkel and see turtles and fish. Our only disappointment was how worn the furniture was, carpets were dirty. Shower door was not attached at he bottom. I was concerned that it would fall. Su & Becky are wonderful.

  If you’re looking for one of the best places to snorkel this is it! Very nice accommodations if you can get a booking! Units are clean and you can hear the sound of the waves from the living room. Most bedrooms are in the back of the units. This location does accept children so if you’re not open to having them run around outside then don’t consider this. Units vary in their decor as well, some are renovated and some are more basic. The office is great at helping answer any questions. Many nice restaurants in the area if you can get a reservation! .   We really enjoyed our stay at the Cove. Our unit was nicely located with a wonderful view of the lawn, pool and cove. Comfortable bed, nice kitchen and great lanai for viewing whales and turtles. The only negative is the early morning road noise as the main road runs directly behind the complex. That would probably be the only reason we would hesitate to stay here again.

  This ocean front location and unit would be hard to find at this price point. The lanai steps down to the grass area as pictured. It is steps from the pool and beach. Turtles beach themselves almost every day. I did snorkel and when the water is calm there is lots to see. I would not rent this unit in the summer as it does get a large amount of sun on the lanai. We were here in late November and the weather was perfect and we only had a few hours of sun daily. The unit itself was ok. The kitchen has been remodeled and is well stocked. The furnishings and the carpet need to be updated. The smart TV worked well. One of the bad things about the location was it wasn't very walking friendly. You could walk but there is quite a bit of street traffic. It was also somewhat noisy because of this but I didn't have any trouble sleeping. Overall I liked the location and did book a different unit for next November.

  Unit 115 itself is a little run down and in need of an update, but overall, it's very nice and comfortable. Everything works, it's kitchen is well-stocked, and things are tidy and decent. The property is second to none. The staff is responsive and professional. We miss the Wednesday potluck, but totally understand the need to suspend due to covid. We also appreciate the covid safety protocols, including guests providing proof of vaccination. The amenities on the property are all fantastic, the BBQs very clean, great laundry facilities, and gorgeous grounds. The pool is also very nice and clean, the lawn chairs are excellent, and overall, the Cove is just the best place we've found on Maui!

  We had a wonderful time at Honokeana cove. Our unit was fairly clean however a little dated. The bedskirt was torn. Not sure if "old Hawaii" is the definition I would use. We would love to come back however I would need to see the unit updated before that happens. Lots of noise in the bedroom from the street outside. The grounds were great.

  Honokeana Cove is, as always, a great place to stay when visiting Maui. The Cove is great for snorkeling to see turtles, lots of turtles and colorful fish. Unit 115 was in a great location to look out and see the ocean, big blue sky and Molokai. It was wonderful to wake up to the call of the birds and enjoy eating breakfast on the lanai, which was made in well equipped kitchen. Unit 115 had everything you need for a great vacation. It was comfortable. It was clean. It was everything you would expect for an island get-a-away. The entire staff was friendly and very helpful. It’s the only place to stay on the island if you want a place where you can just relax and thoroughly enjoy your stay on Maui!

  One of the best locations on the westside of Maui. Tucked away in one of the most beautiful coves anyplace on the island. Totally low key and easy going staff. Always accommodating and helpful. Took care of all our needs. No didn’t seem to be in their vocabulary. Direct water access to one of the most perfect snorkeling areas in Napili. “Turtle Bay” lives up to its name with numerous Honu to keep you company while you snorkel or just float in this very special place. Located between Kaanapali and Kapalua with Napili market two minutes from your door. Pool directly in front of the cove. Summer sunset views over the corner of Molokai. Two and three bed units available also.

  I would give both the staff, and the overall location on Maui, 6 stars if I could.
  
  We loved the easy water access right out the front door. (At other nearby locations you may find yourself scrambling over sharp volcanic rock getting into the water.)
  
  The furniture and decor are slightly dated, but this wasn't really a negative for us; we were there to enjoy Hawaii, not the furniture. The bed is comfortable (which IS important to us.) The unit is well maintained.

  This was our second visit to Honokeana Cove and we already want to come back. We stayed in Condo 115 which met all our needs. Not knowing it was Spring Break it was a little noisier than our last visit in Dec 2017 but we were there for a special birthday and anniversary so the date couldn't be changed!
  Su was great helping us prior to booking and always on hand if we needed her during our stay. Staying for 10 nights we got to know a few other residents all of whom were on repeat visits to the Cove which speaks for itself in how relaxing and lovely it is. The view, the turtles and the whales truly make this such a special place and we would not consider staying anywhere else on Maui.

Reasons, it needs some catching up on simple things such as place mats, BBQ tools, removing large bamboo piece in bedroom and old TV that doesn't work. These make it hard to move around. Also a bed skirt would look nice. Other than those thoughts we found everything else perfectly fine.

  Enjoyed our stay but would not come again in the summer. Didn't expect Hawaii to be so crowded this time of year. Traffic was so bad it discouraged travel, just to avoid a lot of time in the car. Did not appreciate the screaming baby above us. These are not the resort's fault, obviously. The cove is gorgeous and the grounds immaculate. We enjoyed the beautiful sunsets. We loved seeing the sea turtles everyday. I am I wimp and hate being cold, so found the pool to cold to enjoy the water much. However, I would consider staying again at a different time of year, that is possibly less busy. Office staff was very helpful.

  Most will agree that Honokeana Cove is a special place. The units set enclosed in a little well-kept Eden of green grass, pool, barbecue, with view and direct access to the Cove. Unit #115 is very nice with a sizeable living area, kitchen, bedroom, porch, and bath. That side of the complex backs up against the parking lot and road so it can get a little noisy. Though most morning I was woken by birds. We were there when it was very humid and we found that it was better to leave all the window vents and doors open instead of trying to close the bedroom up and use the air conditioner. It just did not seem to be cooling very quickly. Maybe it needs to be run all day. The kitchen is very nice and has a full set dishes, glasses, silverware, and utensils not to mention pots and pans. While there were also numerous cutting knives, we had to try them all out as most had dulled. We were happily surprised that a large deck container included beach chairs, boogie boards, and snorkel masks and fins. Snorkeling in the cove was pretty nice as we saw all kinds of fish and numerous turtles. There is also a path just next to the complex that allows one to walk along the water side up around the point to Napili beach ... and Kapalua beach if you so desired. But you might get side tracked with all the interesting tide pools. In the very small mall in Napili, there is not only the grocery store, but a great coffee shop and some clothing stores. Access south to Ka’anapali and Lahaina is very easy. Be careful if you want to go further south during the afternoon rush as the traffic gets very backed up. And pay attention to the Lahaina byway. In sum, we are so glad that we discovered Honokeana. If we come back to Maui, I am sure we will stay again.

  These are older units, but our unit was updated and well maintained. You don't get this experience in a big resort. The office staff were quick to respond and very effect at what they do. The grounds and pool was well maintained. We enjoyed watching the surf boarders many of whom came through the resort to come in from the ocean. A nice small community atmosphere and a spectacular view.

  Fantastic and very relaxing! The weather was not that great in March, but the gorgeous grounds and views made up for the ****** weather. The landscaping was very well maintained. I couldn't believe how green and perfect the grass looked, I thought it was astro turf. I had to kneel down and pull out a piece of grass to convince myself that it was indeed very healthy grass.   Honokeana Cove is a special place. Being able to walk out of your condo with your snorkel gear to climb down the rocks and snorkel with all types of fish as well as many turtles is the advantage here. Unit 115 is well equipped and even has an a/c unit in the bedroom. We used the community grills several times. We liked being on the first floor to walk out onto the grass. All of the visitors were friendly. We walked to the Gazebo for an excellent brunch and saw the Napili Beach if we wanted to go to the closest beach.

  Nice room, lanai. Difficult to get in to closet, doors were broken off tracks. Poor wi-fi service- we kept getting kicked out and then it would not allow us back in. The housekeeping services was one time in 10 days, which we did not like. We also had to fight for extra towels. If you want extra beach towels, you need to wash them yourself. Easy access parking lot.

  sparkling clean, all mod cons, and of course the most amazing view in the world! The Cove is exquisitely landscaped and perfectly maintained. sue was wonderful about getting us in on short notice and we were so happy to be back on Maui. One minor thing- the only blanket in the unit smelled powerfully of vomit. And one other issue about the Cove in general: LOTS of the pool...with glasses and bottles. Very loud and raucous, although got quieter after 10, we still were treated to loud, slurred soliloquies from the neighbors. If you want to party in paradise, this is the place!

  We have been to Honokeana Cove multiple times over the past 20 years. Location, views, snorkling are why we keep coming back. This was our first family trip, with our 8 and 12 yr old daughters. They loved it! It's like having a home away from home, and you're close enough to so many amenities and activities to never get bored! As with any rental property, there are rules to follow and most everyone abides by them. The street traffic seemed to be heavier than I remember which made it noisy at night (bedrooms face the street). Sadly, unit 115 is in desperate need of some TLC. Units we've stayed in in the past have been much nicer. The furniture was literally falling apart and had visibly been "fixed" many times. Fridge had duct tape on the door but worked fine. The pull out sofa bed was difficult to put away each morning, the support railing is slightly warped and needs to be pushed down at the same time as you push it back into the sofa. Just another item that needs replacement. All in all, we spent most of our time outside anyway and had a fabulous time. On a positive note, this unit had free Wifi and basic cable so we were able to unwind at night with a movie and even caught a few LA Kings hockey games!!!! I would definitely recommend HC for the location, price and ability to have your own kitchen, access to grills and awesome snorkling! We saw turtles every day, either while snorkling or when they would come up to sleep on the rocks. You are within walking distance to The Gazebo restaurant, and short drive to Lahaina, Kaanapali and Kahana for more fun, restaurants, beaches, etc.

  No Ka Oi! Love Love Love Honokeana Cove! The condo is ideally located, well appointed and maintained. We thoroughly enjoyed our return visit to the Cove. Our favorite restaurants include San Sei, Seahouse and Flatbread Company in Paia. Did lots of bbqing at the Cove with excellent seafood from Costco. Maui Divers was great for our dive equipment rentals. Costco offered an excellent deal for the two Kaanapali Golf courses - play both for $200 with cart any time any day. We also played the Kapalua Bay Course. The Waiehu Muni Course has the most beautiful views and you can't beat the price!

Honokeana Cove is a smaller condo complex, it is situated so that you get to know your neighbors (great for our son who wanted a playmate, maybe not so good if you wanted privacy for your honeymoon).   This was our first time at the Cove. We found that the traffic noise to be excessive,entry to the water difficullt. Pots and pans need replacement. Little or no hanging space in closet, and very little room for a lengthy stay. Appliances were marginal.Once a week cleaning and towels was not what we were used to in this part of the seemed too long. This unit needs work! A special mention however is that the staff were always very hospitable, and friendly.

  Loved our stay there, but would try for a different unit. Some are more nicely appointed than others. The only downside is the road noise at night, if you want it quiet this is not the place. The view, pool and snorkeling are fantastic. Also close to restaurants and shopping without having to go to Lahaina. The staff there are wonderful and helpful!

  We stayed at the Cove for nine, glorious days. The location can't be beat and the property manager is delightful. The condo was well equipped with all the comforts of home. Although the rules exist regarding noise and care of the property, we experienced a large family of guests who did not adhere to the rules, nor consider the other guests. For this reason only, we rated the satisfaction as a 4/5.
