Honokeana Cove is in Napili, West Maui, just 8 miles north of historic Lahaina Town. The gated property surrounds a secluded cove with a breathtaking view of the nearby island of Molokai from every unit. The peaceful cove offers some of the best snorkeling on Maui, with an abundance of coral formations, tropical fish, and green sea turtles. A sparkling heated swimming pool only steps from your condominium adds to the dreamlike atmosphere of this tropical paradise.

NEW TO VACATION CONDO RENTAL? If you're used to giant hotels with mile-long hallways, you'll find Honokeana Cove a refreshing change. You won't have hotel features like daily maid service, 24 hour desk, restaurant, gym or spa. Instead, you'll enjoy comfortable condos with full kitchen, bath and bedroom(s), perfect for couples, families and groups to relax together. We're not a "party" destination, because we keep quiet hours from 10 pm to 8 am. There are just 38 units in this gated oceanfront property, featuring basking sea turtles and never ending sunsets. Enhanced Cleaning and Disinfection: All Honokeana Cove units are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected before every guest. Housekeepers use EPA hospital-grade disinfectant sprays and cleaning agents with extra attention to all high-touch surfaces. All dishware including plates, bowls, glassware, coffee cups and silverware is washed at high temperature settings. All soft surfaces, including couches, occasional chairs and mattresses are sprayed with a disinfectant to assure cleanliness and safety. Linens and towels are washed with the highest heat temperature and additional drying time, to ensure proper sanitization.

Cancellations and Refunds: Bookings cancelled more than 30 days prior to check-in will receive refund of deposit less $50 cancellation fee. Less than 30 days prior to arrival date, cancellation forfeits the rental amount. However, if health or a personal issue causes you to cancel, contact the rental office. Guests are strongly encouraged to obtain trip insurance for protection from unforeseen circumstances.

Add Hawaii tax (17.416%; 17.962% effective 1/1/2024) & one cleaning fee to all rates. Specify your total number of guests of all ages for an accurate rate quote.

Free Parking for one vehicle. No Resort Fee. Hawaii taxes remitted by Honokeana Cove Rental Association LLC, Tax ID 067-626-5984-01. This unit has ceiling fans for temperature control.

  We enjoyed being right on the ocean. There is no sandy beach but there are dozens of giant sea turtles that come out to sun on the rocky shore and their colors perfectly match the rocks. Snorkeling was superb.
  Our disappointment was the construction noise during three of our five days there. We were told via email about this just days before we arrived and we were not in a position to change our plans.

  The beautiful cove view, snorkeling and sunsets can't be beat from this location! Unit #113 was easy to walk right out to enjoy the lanai, grassy area, pool, or snorkeling in the cove with many turtles. This cove is the best place to snorkel! # 113 was clean and well equipped. It is a little tired though and could use some upgrades. Overall, our stay here was a wonderful experience. We would come back in a heartbeat! Office and property management was great. The grounds are beautiful. Ocean front BBQ's are kept spotless for your use. Tiki torches are lite every night and fun to watch this tradition. Thank you Ray for all your hard work.

  The grounds of the property are gorgeous and very well kept. The convenience of being able to access the cove is awesome. I have stayed at Honokeana Cove several times and have always been impressed with the accommodations, that is until this recent visit. We stayed in #113 and found that although we paid the same price as similar updated units ours had yet to be updated. The ease of a walk out lanai was wonderful, the bed comfy and the view stunning. However the fridge was rusty inside the freezer and the top shelf in the fridge had a constant pool of water, making that shelf unusable. There was so much moisture in the fridge that we had to throw food away after only a couple of days...the sliding door and sliding screen would not close all the way, therefore not locking either. The solution provided was to place a wooden dowel in the grooves at the base of the slider to keep it "locked". This does not prevent bugs,baby geckos or roaches (we found a couple roaches in the bathroom) from getting in. The bathroom was ok, except for the shower, which is made for short people ( I am 5'8" and my partner is 6'3") we both struggled when trying to wash our hair. I think this unit should be less expensive than the comparable updated 1BR/1BA units or they should update it to be on par with the others. All in all we had a great time and will definitely be back, just not to this unit in it's present state.

  I've been enjoying staying here with family and friends the last few summers. I love how small and private it is here. Having a kitchen, a short walk to the grass to relax and the cove to snorkel at is all very convenient. I really think air conditioning is needed though. This is the third condo I stayed in with no air conditioning here. The screen door was also not working well. But that is minor. Other than that, I can't wait to come back. The landscaping is always perfect and the view of the sunsets sitting on the patio can't be beat. A short walk to Napili Beach and restaurants is a plus too. The resorts are great to stay at, but you can't get this little traffic of people with a private cove at them.

  We spent 8 days in 113 and had an amazing time.
  This is my 6th time staying at the cove and every time it's special. The unit was well equipped and the staff are amazing as well. Prepare to relax and enjoy the island life if only for a little while.
  Snorkeled every morning and one day I counted 12 turtles. I even saw a large white tip reef shark when I was scuba diving the cove to check my gear.
  This was way out at the entrance to the cove.
  The bbq's are great for dining in as we did every night. Wednesday's get together is fun as well.
  I liked 113 because the view and on the lower level so just walk out the lanai and swim or snorkel or sunbathe.

  Renting at Honokeana Cove was very easy. The rental company was very efficient. From reservation to check-in everything went smoothly. We arrived after the office had closed and found the key where they had promised. The condo was well maintained and cleaned. The view was spectacular. The unit is not large but it was more than adequate for 2. The kitchen has everything necessary for cooking and we used the grills most nights. Honokeana Cove has many turtles and good snorkeling. It's just a short walk to 2 of Mauis's nicest beaches- Napili and Kapalua Beaches. If you are looking for a more authentic, peaceful, and old Hawaiin type of vacation, this is the place to go.

  The condo was perfectly located, and exactly as shown on your website. My new husband found a ring while snorkeling, and it really made us feel like family when we met the other newlyweds who had lost it! The Pupu Party was fantastic, I will never miss another Wed night gathering.
  
  Our 15y/o daughter was able to snorkel to her heart's content. She was amazed by the variety of fish & number of turtles. While we did visit a few other snorkeling spots on the island, we all enjoyed the feeling of being in our own personal paradise while at the cove.
  
  The property is so clean and beautiful, we spent a majority of our trip at the cove. It was great to have a fully appointed kitchen and have the convenience to get poke from Napili Market for lunch everyday!

  Location could not be more beautiful, the condo was sparkling clean and well-appointed, the grounds were perfectly landscaped and maintained, couldn't be more impressed! Only 1 thing detracted, and that only matters if you are seeking R&R rather than parties. There was a great deal of drinking in the yard and at the pool (with glasses and bottles), a lot of noise including drunken arguments. Great for kids to run around and be excited, another for adults to bellow incoherently at midnight. Would highly recommend, depending on expectations.

  We have been coming here for over 10 years and will come back as often as possible. It just keeps getting better each year. The only complaint we have is not enforcing the rules about the pool. Kids dive bombing,yelling and screaming. I know we're getting to be old fogies, but kids can have fun without screaming. The management can't stop this but people coming in after 10:00 pm need to be quiet and when locking the car, do it without honking the horn. No other complaints, but lots of complaments to Su, Christal and Greg. They work their buns off to accomodate all the requests from the many guests. Even with our complaints, we will be back, as it's the best place for the money you can find.

  Loved the place overall. 43 units, family friendly. Gorgeous views and snorkeling with the turtles is right out your door.
  Just 2 complaints about this particular unit-113.
  Internet service lacking, had to use the community service which was sketchy and the bedroom is right off the road- way too noisy. We moved the mattress into the living room to listen to the ocean. Otherwise this is a great property managed very well.

    Aloha Kathi, This unit was recently purchased and the new owner was just here and obtained it's own Wi-Fi service and up dated some furniture and restocked the kitchen with all new utensils, plates, glassware, etc. You would not recognize unit 113 when you return.   Beautiful location except for the traffic noise early in the morning. The view from the lanai is wonderful, the cove is terrific for snorkeling, and Napili is much, much nicer than Kaanapali. The unit was clean and comfortable, the kitchen well-stocked. I do wish the unit had boogie boards, beach chairs, an umbrella and a cooler. We borrowed from the
  people next door -- whose unit had all of those things.

    Aloha Rob, Mahalo for the review. Unfortunately we do get a bit of road noise in some of the units in that building, but the view is truly spectacular which over shines the noise. The smaller units are limited on storage areas that we just can't have beach equipment in every room. We do collect a few spares and store them in our two laundry rooms where they are available for our guests to borrow. I look forward to your next return to the Cove. mahalo, Su

  We stayed in unit 113 for a week in July 2014. The unit was nice, but a glass coffee table had to be moved out of the way because it was situated in a high traffic area. Also, we found a lot of very short hairs on the furniture so we didn't know if a pet had stayed there or if the couch was molting. The snorkeling was superb! So many turtles and fish! The grounds were spotless and the friendliness of everyone was very nice. We had plans to go to other places in Maui for the day but we didn't because we liked the Cove so much. Just so you know, you will be expected to launder the bath towels they provide. If you go when the kids are out of school, expect a lot of noise in the courtyard by the pool and by the stairs and parking lot. Also, there is traffic going by the parking lot 24 hours a day so that gets noisy when trying to sleep. Still, we had a wonderful time and would come back again at a time of year when it is quieter.

  We had a wonderful stay and loved the views from our unit. Watching the turtles and snorkeling in the cove with them is always a treat. Love the Napili area and we have rented other condos in this area. This is in our top 2.
  
  The only complaint was there was construction noise from remodels going on in this complex and from the houses on the left and work going on at Napili Point.
  They also trimmed all the palm trees on our last day which keep us away from the pool for a couple of hours. Since it had rained for 3 days people wanted to finally get out in the sun.

  Honokeana Cove is a perfect spot. Walk out to snorkel with the many resident turtles and pretty fish. The property is impeccably maintained. Our unit was spotless. Unit 113 has had some renovations, and when they complete with new bedroom carpeting, furniture refreshment and maybe some editing and refreshing of kitchen dishes, etc. this place would be beyond perfect, as it is I feel a bit bad saying anything negative, we had a terrific stay here.

  Honokeana Cove is the perfect location and setting on Maui. The grounds are just beautiful and extremely well maintained. The unit, 113, however was not the best. The staff was fabulous. Road noise is definitely an issue with this and all units that back up to the road. We have stayed in units that don't and the noise level is very acceptable. The unit itself was poorly appointed. A real mish-mash of kitchen items. Things should have been thrown away/replaced years ago. We had to go out and buy glasses because they only had very old plastic glasses (wine and everyday). Knives were down right dangerous they were so dull. Only two kitchen towels and two beach towels. We didn't let those things keep us from having a wonderful time. We will be back, just not to this unit.

  the unit itself (with the exception of not having sufficient light to read by - bring a head lamp - no joke!) is beautiful with fine art and sculpture. It also is stocked with more than your usual kitchen basics and utensils. the owner leaves a large manual for reference if you have any questions about operating anything. there are 4 phones! the sports/beach equipment is staggering. beach chairs, snorkels/fins/masks, coolers, beach towels, hiking sticks, on and on and on. nice library and videos. all the electronics you could want.
  we liked the unit because (1st floor) you could walk right out to the grass/cove. LOTS of people came over from the big resorts to our cove at dusk because we have the best TURTLE watching spot. I also liked facing east so we didn't have the sun heating up the condo all day and we were able to leave everything open.
  we were close enough to everything. loved Koloa town. Tuesday and Thursday there are great kalua pork/dogs on the road just above the turn to town and before you get to the round about.
  all in all i'm probably forgetting some of the many many reasons to recommend #106. i loved the king bed. it was just my husband and i but i can see a family enjoying themselves.
  we had a great time.
