Honokeana Cove is in Napili, West Maui, just 8 miles north of historic Lahaina Town. The gated property surrounds a secluded cove with a breathtaking view of the nearby island of Molokai from every unit. Experience Old Hawaii in one of these 38 low-rise units surrounded by luxurious tropical landscaping.

The peaceful cove offers some of the best snorkeling on Maui, with an abundance of coral formations, tropical fish, and green sea turtles. A sparkling heated swimming pool only steps from your condominium adds to the dreamlike atmosphere of this tropical paradise.

Enhanced Cleaning and Disinfection: All Honokeana Cove units are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected before every guest. Housekeepers use EPA hospital-grade disinfectant sprays and cleaning agents with extra attention to all high-touch surfaces. All dishware including plates, bowls, glassware, coffee cups and silverware is washed at high temperature settings. All soft surfaces, including couches, occasional chairs and mattresses are sprayed with a disinfectant to assure cleanliness and safety. Linens and towels are washed with the highest heat temperature and additional drying time, to ensure proper sanitization.

Cancellations and Refunds: Bookings cancelled more than 30 days prior to check-in will receive refund of deposit less $50 cancellation fee. Less than 30 days prior to arrival date, cancellation forfeits the rental amount. However, if health or a personal issue causes you to cancel, contact the rental office. Guests are strongly encouraged to obtain trip insurance for protection from unforeseen circumstances.

Add Hawaii tax (17.416%; 17.962% effective 1/1/2024) & one cleaning fee to all rates. Specify your total number of guests of all ages for an accurate rate quote.

Free Parking for one vehicle. No Resort Fee. Hawaii taxes remitted by Honokeana Cove Rental Association LLC, Tax ID 067-626-5984-01. This unit has air conditioning in the bedroom; there are also ceiling fans.

  The “cove” is a very special place to stay. We never needed the AC, the ceiling fans were enough. Betty was very responsive to our need for a stove top kettle! It took us a bit to get used to the very soft mattress topper and pillows. The living room couch made quite a noise when you first sat on it, but we realize it was a sofa bed, so it was the mechanism inside that made the sound. A few more plastic drinking cups, with lids to take out on the lawn would be nice. We enjoyed the lanai and ate our dinners outside each night. Housekeeping were very efficient and did a wonderful job each week. Su is just as welcoming as she has always been!

  This is a wonderful unit! It's nicely updated and the bedroom has a portable air conditioner perfect for cooling down the room for afternoon naps. You don't really need it on at night. The lanai is also extremely comfortable, and the table and chairs are great. Nice, big table, and the chairs and cushions are super comfy. This unit is right next door to the property manager and his family, and they are wonderful.

  I've stayed in a variety of condos here. I love the location! This visit, i hate to say, the house keeping lacked. In our unit, the glass table top was dirty, the cabinet handles were disgusting, with clumps of items on the handles and refrigerator handles. Very gross...especially when told extra cleaning was being done. I cleaned all these areas mentioned myself before i could relax. I was disappointed.

  What can one say about a magical place we have been visiting for almost 30 years now ? The Cove is a cozy spot with no resort type pretentiousness. Why would you want to pay $1,000 plus a night to stay at a resort when you can be right on the ocean with top notch snorkelling right out your front door?   The furnishings were a bit dated, and need an update. We were happy that there were snorkels for us to use. On our last night a woman dropped off a boogie board saying that she had stayed in our unit and then moved to another unit and she kept the board, which I thought was kinda weird on her part.
  We had 4 staying in the unit and I had no choice but to awaken the manager on our late arrival to get sheets for the sofa bed. I am sorry that I had to disturb him. Absolutely loved the location, one of the best snorkeling spots with fish and sea turtles. The view from the unit was spectacular. I liked the small size of the resort, and the friendliness of neighbors and staff. I WILL be back!

  Honokeana cove is an absolutely magical place. As we maneuvered through all the rollercoaster ups and downs of covid travel both Su and Betty were so very helpful. Once we arrived this extra care continued. The on sight manager Ray and his sweet little family keep this fabulous location in tip top shape. To say the grounds are beautiful is an understatement. We had 3 units, 115,111, and 213. The A/C went out in 213 a couple weeks before our visit and though it was a little warm mid day the unit cooled down nicely once the sun went down. I felt 213 and 115 could use a little updating in furnishings, but each is independently owned and reflects the owners taste. Unit 111 was very tastefully decorated and appointed. I fully understand why 80% + are return visitors to this piece of paradise.

She goes out of her way to help our guests whenever she can. Betty and I pride ourselves for conveying the "Aloha" spirit at Honokeana Cove. She is a definite asset to the Cove. I do believe in the past you even tried to get me fired for something you took the wrong way.   Favorite part of vacation was waking up, starting the coffee maker, then reading a book on the lanai and staring out into the ocean. My husband, myself, and our 2 year old had an incredible stay at this clean, convenient, and relaxing unit in an ideal spot. The property was well maintained by the on-site manager (he and his family are true gems!) and the pool, courtyard, and cove were very kid friendly. I cooked the majority of the time, which was helped by the well-functioning appliances and the farmers market up the road on Wednesdays and Saturdays, but also enjoyed some takeout on the lanai from great restaurants in nearby Lahaina. Napili beach was about a 5 minute walk away when we wanted some sand, as the cove is all rocks. The air conditioning unit was a nice touch to help my kiddo with his midday naps. Loved my stay, and this location was big reason!

  Honokeana Cove, and rental unit 111, offer a peaceful and private vacation away from the crowds at the public beaches and parks. The condo is well-equipped, with newly-replaced doors and windows that work well, while maintaining an "old Hawaii" ambiance. One night was somewhat warmer so I was glad that the condo includes a bedroom air conditioner. Love the easy water entry and the big population of turtles! This is a great place to vacation and worth booking well in advance.

The only recommendation that we have is that the couch is extremely uncomfortable. The springs caused our backs to hurt. And we recommend to have cleaning products available for daily cleaning. We booked this unit for January 2021 for 21 days. We hope that the owners will take our recommendation and replace the couch.

  If you like to snorkel, Honokeana Cove is the place to stay. Getting in and out of the water is so easy and the underwater life is amazing! Our unit 111 had a great location on the property with a nice view and this condo’s kitchen was well stocked, meaning we had to purchase fewer staples than we usually do. The air conditioner was a godsend as the weather was unseasonable warm. The only drawback was that you can definitely hear the street noise in the bedroom if the air conditioner is not on. We’d still stay in the same unit again. We like everything about the Cove!

  Not the 1st time to paradise, and defiantly not our last. As usual the grounds were are nicely kept, people are friendly, and the view is amazing. However this time I have to say that Ray the property manager made our stay the best yet. He gave recommendations as to where to rent surf and paddle boards. Also recommendations on surf spots as well as inviting me to surf with him. When I could not make it to that session, he sent a text updating me with the conditions.   The strongest recommendation we can give is that we've been spending a week at Honokeana Cove every year for at least 10 or 12 years. And we've introduced kids and grandchildren to the place as well -- and they love it too. Every year when we arrive we feel as if we've come home. As for activities, if we were any more mellow during our visits we would approach comatose -- but I snorkel every morning, which in my mind is the highlight of each visit. I think the snorkeling in the cove is as good as you're going to find anywhere on the island.

  Our recent 21 night stay at The Cove was wonderful. The only reason I gave the Unit itself a 4 instead of a 5 was how uncomfortable the couch was (lumpy with poky springs) and the outside cushions were (also lumpy). Otherwise the unit was a great location with a wonderful view of the grounds and Cove, comfortable bed, nicely appointed kitchen, good bathroom with large walk-in shower. The management staff (Su and Ray) are a 10+ as are the grounds! We love Honokeana Cove! I would recommend this property to a friend and this unit if the couch cushions and outdoor chair cushions are replaced.

  A much needed rest, we came back for 13 days to unit #111. Much had been redone and lovely kitchen. We spend endless time snorkeling in the cove which we love. I did notice people struggling to enter and exit water, so please continue to improve access so all can enjoy.we love it here but at sure would add comfort! All were hospitable and welcoming.

  Honokeana Cove was a private paradise! Located just around the corner from Napili Bay yet so much more quiet and peaceful. The beautiful Cove was like stepping into your own private aquarium filled with fish and home to turtles. The water was so warm, calm and clear you could view fish and turtles without even snorkeling.
  Condo 111 was perfect. Tastefully tropical decor, clean, comfortable and a Lani with fabulous views. The tropical grounds were so well groomed. Beautiful lights and Tiki torches at night. The staff were so happy, helpful and friendly! Thank you Crystal.
  We've stayed before in Napili Bay but we were so happy we made the joice to stayed in Honokeana. Espicially after walking the short coastal trail over to Napili Bay and seeing how busy it was.
  I loved how our Cove had steps leading right into the bay for swimming. When lounging on the grass area we could look down into the bay viewing turtles coming onto shore. Our own Lani was just a few feet away for convenience. So much better then staying in a big hotel. This is a small complex with a true old Hawaiian feel to it. We felt so lucky we made Honokeana our joice for a week stay on this side of the island. We'll definitely be back soon! Thank you Honokeana Cove!!

  Traffic noise louder for some reason? development?
  Outside grounds excellent
  111 is badly in need of renewal and repainting/updating. Will not return. Living room rug is stained and very, very filthy. Fabric on furniture very worn/stained and dirty. sofa bed uncomfortable for sitting. Roaches in kitchen (1/4 inch type) when turn off lights. Floor although mopped was filthy as we took position. White socks brown after 10 minutes walking in living room. Staff accommodating and friendly. Time to remodel inside of 111 or paint and new furniture/reupholster. stayed 10 days. Will not return to condos unless heard is updated/remodeled. Do not mind paying $50 more per nite. If you update/remodel, can contact me at --we will return.

  My wife and I decided to stay at Honokeana Cove during our October 2014 visit mostly given the privacy and location of the cove. Even though these units fill up quickly on the calendar thereby limiting our options for the smaller units, we were no less very pleased with our choice. During our stay at least, it was very quiet both day and night which ranks high on our preferences. Even though it was hot inside and out, ventilation was good and made for comfortable sleeping if you left the patio door and windows open. If you are not comfortable leaving open the patio door for security reasons, good ventilation can still be achieved with the sealing fans and windows left open. We liked the fact that the entire property was secured by a fence and locked gates, which helped isolate the property from unauthorized visitors and adjacent properties. So if we ever come back to Maui, we will definitely keep this place in mind.

  I had a wonderful experience at the Cove. You are treated as part of the family. I enjoyed the Pupu's on Wednesday and was able to meet all the guests and share adventures we were having. The only person I had trouble with was a man who owned one of the condos. He was staying there and was rude to the staff and the guests. I thought it was bad for business.   Staying on a beautiful quiet cove rather than a noisy beach was perfect. The lovely lawn also added to the experience. One can just walk into the water in front of the building and snorkel with fish and turtles. Beaches are within walking distance. The only negative was that a few guests did not observe the quiet times. Even so, it was amazingly quiet for a two-story condo experience. I would definitely come again!

  We had a rough start as illness delayed us by one day but were very kindly not charged for that day. When we got there we immediatedly felt a part of things with the friendly staff and guests, many of whom have been coming for many years.

  Our week stay at Honekeana Cove was like living in paradise. We loved it. Please keep the rates reasonable so we can return. Forget the hotels and their waterfall pools, etc., this place is.....paradise.
