Oceanfront Honokeana Cove 2 Br / 2 Ba Ground Floor End Unit. You are just a few steps to the ocean for awesome snorkeling with an abundance of green sea turtles, or swimming in the heated pool, cooking on the oceanfront gas BBQs, watching seasonal whales from your shaded lanai (patio), and enjoying beautiful sunsets from our home.

We have recently remodeled this with all new tile flooring, a new master shower in the ensuite bathroom, and tinted double-pane windows for temperature and sound control. This unit stays shady & cool and has great corner airflow but also has ceiling fans in all rooms. Amenities include a fully stocked kitchen with modern appliances, flat screen smart HD-TV, and free secure in-unit Wi-Fi. Master Bedroom has a NEW memory-foam King Bed and second bedroom has 2 twin beds which can be converted into a King size bed upon request. Both have ample luggage storage underneath. Our rental office and resident manager are on premises.

The gated property surrounds the secluded Honokeana Bay with a breathtaking view of the nearby island of Molokai. The grounds are beautifully kept and the peaceful cove offers fantastic snorkeling, diving, and paddle-boarding. A sparkling heated swimming pool is only steps from your condominium, which adds to the dreamlike atmosphere of this tropical paradise, as do the tiki torches that are lit nightly!

NEW TO VACATION CONDO RENTAL? If you're used to giant hotels with mile-long hallways, you'll find Honokeana Cove a refreshing change. You won't have hotel features like daily maid service, 24 hour desk, restaurant, gym or spa. Instead, you'll enjoy comfortable condos with full kitchen, bath and bedroom(s), perfect for couples, families and groups to relax together. We're not a "party" destination, because we keep quiet hours from 10 pm to 8 am. There are just 38 units in this gated oceanfront property, featuring basking sea turtles and never ending sunsets. We can't wait to welcome you!

Enhanced Cleaning and Disinfection: All Honokeana Cove units are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected before every guest. Housekeepers use EPA hospital-grade disinfectant sprays and cleaning agents with extra attention to all high-touch surfaces. All dishware including plates, bowls, glassware, coffee cups and silverware is washed at high temperature settings. All soft surfaces, including couches, occasional chairs and mattresses are sprayed with a disinfectant to assure cleanliness and safety. Linens and towels are washed with the highest heat temperature and additional drying time, to ensure proper sanitization.

Cancellations and Refunds: Bookings cancelled more than 30 days prior to check-in will receive refund of deposit less $50 cancellation fee. Less than 30 days prior to arrival date, cancellation forfeits the rental amount. However, if health or a personal issue causes you to cancel, contact the rental office. Guests are strongly encouraged to obtain trip insurance for protection from unforeseen circumstances.

Add Hawaii tax (17.416%; 17.962% effective 1/1/2024) & one cleaning fee to all rates. Specify your total number of guests of all ages for an accurate rate quote.

  This was our fifth year at Honokeana. For the last several years we’ve booked the same unit because it works so well for our family. The location and access to wonderful snorkeling is incredible. A 10 on a scale of 10. That said, this is a “family” vacation resort circa the 1960’s/70’s when it was built. It can be noisy with lots of kids and adults having a good time. And...it is expensive. We paid $450/night which included taxes. Overall though, you won’t be disappointed by Honokeana with a few cautions.

  After waiting 2 long years to get back to Hawaii, we couldn't wait to start our vacation at Honokeana Cove!! Su did a great job of keeping everyone informed about the latest Covid restrictions and allowed us to postpone our reservation (twice). We moved to Unit 109 to accommodate the addition of my sister and brother-in-law, so we had plenty of room. Large lanai area with plenty of shade and a large table allowed for us to enjoy most meals outdoors. The snorkeling was awesome- easy access in and out of the cove. Saw a myriad of colorful fish and of course TURTLES!! Took many great photos of the turtles sunning themselves and in the water. Betty, Su, and Ray welcomed us back like family. They are all amazing and great at what they do. Property is a quick drive away from the Lahaina Harbor, which we visited throughout our stay to go whale watching. We also enjoyed a front row seat to see plenty of whale activity right from our room, the pool and the ample lawn area. Swimming in the pool and catching some rays was refreshing for body and soul. Only thing missing was Su's famous Wednesday Night get togethers- stupid Covid. Hopefully they will be able to lift all restrictions soon and we can enjoy these wonderful opportunities to share good food and good times with other guests. Unit 109 is a lovely property with beautiful furnishings, including a couple of outstanding showers. Also appreciated being able to leave unused food items, knowing they will be distributed to cleaning staff / food banks. Our sincere thanks to all who made our stay so enjoyable. We can't wait to see you all again!!!!

  Everything was wonderful except for the pool. It was not kept free of leaves and debri. The yard and pool were not cleaned on the weekends. The pool was kept too cold and then way too hot. The pool was unusable for day because the property manager forgot to shock the pool at night.

  My wife and I at last minute extended our stay on Maui for five nights. I'm surprised this unit was open and wish we could have stayed longer. The property is great with very friendly management and staff. The unit was clean and in excellent condition. Our only complaint is it gets a little warm with no a/c. Not terrible, but if I lived there permanently I would install a ductless a/c system. At the very least if it had a screen on the front door it would help tremendously to move the air. Having to have all the windows wide open at night then leaves you more vulnerable to the road noise. Enough bitching though! We loved this place and will return!!

  As always, my family and I LOVE Honokeana Cove! Unit 109 was situated and furnished well for us; we loved the view from the lanai and the shelter from the afternoon sun. Unit was in great shape and had all of the amenities we needed. Entire property is amazing and the location provides great places to snorkel, swim and walk in the morning. The only thing that was super important, but disappointing, was the condition of the mattresses in the second bedroom. Each of the twin beds is way too soft; they basically form around you when you sit on them and have hollows where they have broken down in the middle of each...the softness also makes them hot when sleeping. We converted them to a king, but there was no way to sleep anywhere but in the hollow on each side as the slope to the middle was too steep to feel comfortable. There was no way to sleep with your spine aligned either as your feet and head were always higher than your middle. Woke up stiff every day and didn't sleep as well as hoped when in such a relaxing location. We've reserved this unit again for next year and would love to find the mattresses have been replaced!   We stayed for 10 days in this lovely condo. Everything we needed was provided including a boogie board and LOTS of snorkeling equipment. We loved that it was ground floor and we could walk right out to the pool and the cove. It was a bit noisy from the foot traffic at the gate/office area and we felt that we lacked a little bedroom privacy due to being right on the main sidewalk. The master ensuite bathroom is so tiny but it was nice to have two bathrooms. The management is awesome and took care of all of our needs and answered all our questions. VERY friendly and kind! The condo is nicely decorated with lovely artwork and we didn't lack for anything! We had family in units #108 and #111. It's a great condo complex for a family gathering. We would love to return!!

  This was our first stay here and we will definitely return. The room was clean and comfortable. Although a bit of road noise in unit 109 which we are not used to. The property was well maintained, peaceful and beautiful. The staff was friendly and very attentive. There are always turtles in the cove and snorkeling was great. The cove just has large rocks but you are within walking distance of a big sandy beach. There were a couple of days of large waves while we were there which were fun to watch but a warning, even though the property is gated and locked many locals know how to get in so there was a constant stream of surfers passing through on those days. They were all in and out quick and respectful though.
  We are very glad we chose Honokeana and look forward to another visit.

  Stayed for 7 days with family (1 adult, 1 teenager) for a week in July. WILL DEFINATELY STAY AGAIN!
  The unit was very comfortable with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, eating space, large living room, and an awesome lanai! We spent most of our time there.
  The staff were ever present and took care of any issues immediately.
  The other residents were retirees and families with children. It was a calm and relaxing environment.
  The Cove is nothing that I had ever seen before! Some vacationers call this Turtle Cove because of the abundance of sea turtles. They are everywhere in the cove and bask on the rock beach during the day.
  The water to the cove is easily accessible via steps down to a rock wall and then steps into the ocean. The waters are calm, so first time snorkelers and children can feel safe.
  There is a trail outside the Cove that allows you to investigate the tide pools on the West side of the Cove and you can walk to Napili Beach (a sand beach). You can continue your walk all the way to Fleming beach by catching another trail at the far side of Napili beach.
  The location of the Cove is good. 5 min to Kaanapali, 15 min to Lahaina, 40 min to the airport, 90 min to the top of Haleakala.
  All units are ocean front.
  1 downside: bedrooms are in the back of the units. The road can be noisy at night, so for a quiet sleep, you have to close the windows (or bring ear plugs).

  My wife and I love Honokeana Cove, now even more so since we've stayed in Unit 109. My wife loves to snorkel and this is her go to spot on Maui. We just can't say enough about Honokeana. This is a true family vacation destination. Our 8 year old granddaughter joins us every year for at least a week (we stay for two) and she never fails to make fast friends with at least one similar age girlfriend. The Unit itself is beautifully appointed and very, very comfortable. We do a lot of our own cooking and the kitchen is more than adequate. You'll want for nothing here. The lanai is perfectly located far enough away from the pool to keep the noise level down, but close enough to keep an eye on the young ones too. We will stay in unit 109 again. Thanks also to the staff at Honokeana who are always attentive and helpful. They are the Ka Oi!

  After many years of visiting Honokeana Cove we never tire of this incredible little gem. If you prefer to walk out on to your personal lanai and enjoy your morning coffee without having to dress and ride down on an elevator to a restaraunt, this is the place. The Cove has never disappointed with clean comfortable units, spectacular sunsets, friendly people, best snorkeling on the island and the secret weapon, manager, Su Campos. This trip we stayed in recently remodeled Unit 109. Although the closest condo to the office and close to the road, it was quiet and restful due to upgraded dual pane windows. The Cove is walking distant to great places to eat including the famous "Gazebo" and the "Sea House Restaraunt". In between is "Snorkle Bob's" which is important because you won't want to miss snorkeling with the turtles and reef fish in the Cove. Honokeana Cove is exactly as advertised and if you are looking for a quiet relaxing stay in Maui with like minded people, this is the place to stay. Don't miss the weekly "Pu Pu" party on the lawn where you will make new friends. If your stay includes one or more Sundays, visit the Honolua Tongan Methodist Church, nearby, where you will be welcomed by warm caring people and experience the rich voices of the Tongan Chior.

  The property is located right on a beautiful cove, about 10 miles north of Lahaina. The snorkeling is excellent on the cove, which is just steps from your door. It is probably among the best snorkeling in Maui, with numerous turtles spending time there. The only beach I would give a better review for snorkeling is Kapalua, which is about a 3 minute drive from here. Napili Beach is walking distance away as well. Kaanapali Beach is only about a 10 minute drive away as well, so the location was excellent. The unit itself was clean and well decorated. The only minor complaints I have are that it lacks air conditioning (my wife liked not having it!) and there is not a washer/dryer in the unit. Other than that, I have absolutely nothing negative to say about the property and would recommend it.

  clean and functional unit in low density development fronting a popular cove, its best attributes are associated with the view, easy ocean access, proximity to nearby amenities, and the ease of living right out of your own unit. Napili can be wetter than locales south, but the subject development and surrounding 1960's and 1970's developments maintain a low density standard not found in many other parts of Hawaii. The only negative was the unit's proximity to traffic noise from the nearby roadway traversing the Napili area.
  The local managers were great - we enjoyed free bananas from the onsite trees.

  The unit was great except for the beds. One of our party had to sleep on the couch as his twin bed was too uncomfortable. And the king bed was two different levels - super low and squished down on one side. I would not personally rent this unit again unless that were fixed. The main bath and the kitchen updates were beautiful. I also liked the layout of the main living area and the furniture there. All in all, great except for the beds.

  Amid the busy west Maui coastline, filled with resorts and homes, we were very happy to find this small gathering of well-kept condos with the most amazing snorkeling just a few steps from our balcony! Here we were very comfortable, the other renters were friendly and welcoming and we were close to many sites and beaches. We would definitely stay here again when visiting Maui!

  This unit was beautifully furnished and very classy. The lanai is shaded all day...a real plus. The one negative is that you hear street noise, especially from the bedrooms. Snorkeling is right out your door and it is some of the very best on the island! Would definitely return!

  Location was what we wanted, 2BR downstairs. Big bathroom was really great. Small bathroom not worth having. Having the large outdoor table was perfect for eating all our meals. Some things could be improved. There were terrible knives I tried to sharpen. No dish drainer was very inconvenient. Had there not been six or seven frying pans there would be room for a drainer. Owner did not provide a secure Wi Fi connection. Had to use the unsecure Amerispot connection. Computer is now so infected I will have to take it in for repairs. No local phone service was provided. Had to use cell phone minutes to make local calls. The local management, Su and Greg, were fantastic. Two of my adult children and their spouses stayed with us during portions of our month long stay, and they all praised Su, Greg, and the employees of the cleaning service.

  #109 needs a little work fixing the window louvers--a couple are jammed and don't close. An additional floor lamp for reading use would be a welcome addition. Other than that, nice unit. When the landscaping is completed the Cove will be back to normal, probably the best kept secret in West Maui. After 23 years of staying there, we would not go anywhere else. Honokeana No Ka Oi. JG
