The gated property surrounds a secluded cove with a breathtaking view of the nearby island of Molokai from every unit. The peaceful cove offers some of the best snorkeling on Maui, with an abundance of coral formations, tropical fish, and green sea turtles. A sparkling heated swimming pool only steps from your condominium adds to the dreamlike atmosphere of this tropical paradise.

NEW TO VACATION CONDO RENTAL? If you're used to giant hotels with mile-long hallways, you'll find Honokeana Cove a refreshing change. You won't have hotel features like daily maid service, 24 hour desk, restaurant, gym or spa. Instead, you'll enjoy comfortable condos with full kitchen, bath and bedroom(s), perfect for couples, families and groups to relax together. We're not a "party" destination, because we keep quiet hours from 10 pm to 8 am. There are just 38 units in this gated oceanfront property, featuring basking sea turtles and never ending sunsets. We can't wait to welcome you!

Enhanced Cleaning and Disinfection: All Honokeana Cove units are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected before every guest. Housekeepers use EPA hospital-grade disinfectant sprays and cleaning agents with extra attention to all high-touch surfaces. All dishware including plates, bowls, glassware, coffee cups and silverware is washed at high temperature settings. All soft surfaces, including couches, occasional chairs and mattresses are sprayed with a disinfectant to assure cleanliness and safety. Linens and towels are washed with the highest heat temperature and additional drying time, to ensure proper sanitization.

Cancellations and Refunds: Bookings cancelled more than 30 days prior to check-in will receive refund of deposit less $50 cancellation fee. Less than 30 days prior to arrival date, cancellation forfeits the rental amount. However, if health or a personal issue causes you to cancel, contact the rental office. Guests are strongly encouraged to obtain trip insurance for protection from unforeseen circumstances.

Add Hawaii tax (17.416%; 17.962% effective 1/1/2024) & one cleaning fee to all rates. Specify your total number of guests of all ages for an accurate rate quote.

Free Parking for one vehicle. No Resort Fee. Hawaii taxes remitted by Honokeana Cove Rental Association LLC, Tax ID 067-626-5984-01. This unit has ceiling fans for temperature control.

  This was our second trip to Honokeana Cove, but our first stay in #107 since we came with additional people and stayed in 2-bedroom #105 the first time.
  Honokeana Cove does not disappoint. The grounds are immaculate and the condo's are clean and comfortable.
  After a total of 24 days over 2 stays, we still have yet to use a dining room table because we always eat all of our meals out on the Lanai, enjoying the beautiful view.
  Snorkeling with the turtles never gets old, and just sitting out on the chairs watching the turtles come on shore to sleep in the sun every afternoon is amazing.
  The location is close enough to Lahaina to enjoy the amenities there whenever you want, but you can also get all your groceries at the market in Napili Plaza, which is an easy walk from the condos.

  Honokeana cove is absolutely a great place to stay in Maui. Right from your Lanai you can take a few steps to the pool and a couple more steps to the beach. It’s a rocky beach, but a great place to snorkel and see turtles. We swam next to turtles on a couple of occasions. The apartment is close to a market for everyday needs and 10 min or so from Kaanapali. The apartment is a little outdated, but the location and the view make up for it. The apartment was clean and check in was easy.

  We love Honokeana Cove! Thihs was our 3rd visit to the Cove and it didn't disappoint (except for some nasty weather). But, we were in Hawaii, so it was OK! Met new friends and saw the whales, which is what we went for this time of year. They didn't disapoint either! The Cove is so relaxing. Grounds were as beautiful as always and the pool felt great! In this unit, the furniture needs to be replaced. The chair cushions were almost flat, and very uncomfortable. The bed mattress was as hard as a rock, like sleeping on a brick! Unless this unit gets a big overhaul, I wouldn't stay in it again. The owners need to spend some $$ to spruce it up. It is dated. But, the location of the unit is great, so overall, we very much enjoyed our stay and we'll be back to Honokeana Cove again. Thanks for the great time!

  Although we chose this time before and after New Years the continual noise from kids and, more specifically, the pool are and the constant running day and night in the unit next door was extremely annoying and disturbing. Talking to them did no good and the Cove needs to find a way to address the over running of the pool area. Our unit was also in dire need of an upgrade as we stayed there many years ago and it looks as if nothing was improved only worn more so than before.

It’s more like a community than staying in an impersonal resort. Everyone interacts and it’s just the perfect size for feeling like you’re in your ‘neighborhood.’ Watching the daily routines of cove life from our lanai was great.   Honokeana Cove is a tucked away paradise in the paradise that is Hawaii. What this is not: a resort with tons of bells and whistles to entertain you, big night life or access to fancy shops and restaurants. That's what Kaanapali is for! What this is: a quiet, small-scale condo complex suited for families and people who like it low-key, more on the quiet side and simply lovely. Snorkeling doesn't get better than the cove which is 40 feet from your lanai. The pool is great--all the grounds and amenties are clean and well-maintained. The small staff are friendly, helpful and good at their work. Condos are individually owned so the decor and condition depend on the general, the condos are nicely decorated, well furnished and clean. Fair warning: people get up early and go to bed early, lots of kids when we have been there and mostly very friendly and fun residents.

  This is our 4th stay at Honokeana over the past 10 years. The most cool thing about Unit #107 is that it is ground level, just step off the deck and a 10 second walk to the pool and shore. It has really nice view from the deck. The kitchen is well stocked with accessories and ancillary cooking supplies- all you need is some meat to throw on the grills located next to the pool. Don’t buy ice for your drinks, the refrigerator produces all the ice you need.The grounds of the condo are kept up impeccably. Unit #107 is clean with nice furniture. It is a one bedroom with a sleeper couch in the living area.
  The bedroom ceiling fan does not work. The first couple nights were very humid and without the fan it was a little stuffy in the bedroom.
  Sue in the rental office is so very nice and helpful.
  Outsiders are not allowed to come onto the property to access the cove. Believe me, they want to because the snorkeling is awesome. I saw 7 turtles, 2-2.5 ft. Diameter in size. Beautiful coral and colorful fish.

  We have stayed in this unit several times. For the most part it is good condition, but the screen door needs repairs. Also, i think they need to do a clean house within the kitchen. So many glasses, old plates, silverware, pans and the cabinets are full of items that are not needs. Because the cabinet are so full of these items, there is no place to put away groceries. The kitchen is not very organized. The living area has to many chairs, think about it, the unit is for two people. Last, the cable service for tv is a challenge. We do love this unit for the view, but the owners need to invest.

  This was our first time staying at Honokeana and we loved it. The cove has incredible snorkeling. Like, if you're ever bored, you just throw on your snorkel gear, amble across the lawn, and slide into a cove full of coral, fish, and dozens of turtles. I almost got used to having a turtle swim into my field of view, check me out, and then dive below. We came with our 3 year old daughter who is afraid to put her face in the water. She literally rode on my back while I snorkeled, wearing a life jacket and calling out the turtles as they swam by. So. Cool.
  The unit was lovely. Had everything we needed and opened right onto the cove. The community was super sweet. Everyone is out on their balcony enjoying the ocean and each other, and people were lovely with our daughter, who is a bit of a social butterfly. They have a pot-luck on the lawn Wednesday nights, which is a great way to meet folks if you're interested in a little community.
  You can walk to glorious sand beaches in about 5 minutes. And you're about 20 minutes from the town of Lahaina. There's a shopping center a 3 minute drive away where you can get whatever you need. And a horse ranch just up the road if you want to ride around inland a little. We took our daughter there and she loved it.

The only negative (and this was marginal) was 2 periods of young children who were noisy during the day and early morning and often monopolized the pool.Another marginal thing ( didn't really affect us much), Travis wasn't around much during the day.

  We loved our small condo located on the ground floor just steps away from the grassy lawn and pool and so close to the ocean. Very friendly people there and a sense of comraderie. So many turtles to swim with (snorkel)! Every Wednesday evening a potluck party on the lawn. 3 large grills available to cook your dinners on by the pool.

  We loved our stay in unit 107 and look forward to staying there again. The condo is very well decorated and is in a fantastic location within the complex--very close to the pool and cove. Sitting on the lanai and watching the waves crash against the point and roll into the cove was wonderful. And the snorkeling only a few steps away from the unit was awesome--it was so fun to literally swim with the turtles. Crystal was very helpful in the business office and the grounds were extremely clean and well-maintained. We look forward to our next opportunity to stay at Honokeana Cove and unit 107 would be our first choice.

  We spent 5 nights in early August at Honokeana Cove. We had a fantastic time there. The grounds and view were wonderful. We loved the entrance in and out of the cove and spent many hours swimming/snorkeling with the turtles. Honokeana is located conventiently close to groceries and quick food restaurants but is out of the Kaanapali crowds. Our unit was clean and comfortable. Our only suggestion would be that, since there are no washers or dryers in the units, the laundry services should be complimentary to guests. We will be back!
