Honokeana Cove is in Napili, West Maui, just 8 miles north of historic Lahaina Town. The gated property surrounds a secluded cove with a breathtaking view of the nearby island of Molokai from every unit. The peaceful cove offers some of the best snorkeling on Maui, with an abundance of coral formations, tropical fish, and green sea turtles. A sparkling heated swimming pool only steps from your condominium adds to the dreamlike atmosphere of this tropical paradise.

NEW TO VACATION CONDO RENTAL? If you're used to giant hotels with mile-long hallways, you'll find Honokeana Cove a refreshing change. You won't have hotel features like daily maid service, 24 hour desk, restaurant, gym or spa. Instead, you'll enjoy comfortable condos with full kitchen, bath and bedroom(s), perfect for couples, families and groups to relax together. We're not a "party" destination, because we keep quiet hours from 10 pm to 8 am. There are just 38 units in this gated oceanfront property, featuring basking sea turtles and never ending sunsets. Enhanced Cleaning and Disinfection: All Honokeana Cove units are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected before every guest. Housekeepers use EPA hospital-grade disinfectant sprays and cleaning agents with extra attention to all high-touch surfaces. All dishware including plates, bowls, glassware, coffee cups and silverware is washed at high temperature settings. All soft surfaces, including couches, occasional chairs and mattresses are sprayed with a disinfectant to assure cleanliness and safety. Linens and towels are washed with the highest heat temperature and additional drying time, to ensure proper sanitization.

Cancellations and Refunds: Bookings cancelled more than 30 days prior to check-in will receive refund of deposit less $50 cancellation fee. Less than 30 days prior to arrival date, cancellation forfeits the rental amount. However, if health or a personal issue causes you to cancel, contact the rental office. Guests are strongly encouraged to obtain trip insurance for protection from unforeseen circumstances.

Add Hawaii tax (17.416%; 17.962% effective 1/1/2024) & one cleaning fee to all rates. Specify your total number of guests of all ages for an accurate rate quote.

Its the perfect place for relaxation with turtles and so many fish varieties every time you step into the cove. Only thing missing was AC so the place was a little hot late afternoon, but its easy to air and fans are available.

  We have stayed at Honokeana Cove Condos several times over the last 20 years and have been pleased with our units and the lovely grounds. However, Unit #216, was in much need of upgrades. The owner may or may not be aware so I’ve included a list: Although it has a lovely view and the upstairs loft & bath was nice, the downstairs needs improvements. The bedroom furniture was outdated and worn, the bathroom’s curtain rod was rusty and half of the bathtub grips were missing. The kitchen’s waste basket (under sink) was cracked/broken and the entry rug was nothing more than a carpet remnant. There was a chipped water glass & dinner plate. A spatula would have been nice. Also, the plywood floor was exposed from a loose piece of carpet between the kitchen/living room. The lanai’s cushions s/b replaced, one was missing and some of the plastic straps were ripped. We did like the new sliding glass door but the screen door needed sticker magnets for safety like many other units. I would not recommend this unit until improvements were made. Thank you.

  The Cove is a great well-maintained quiet location, with great views, a nice pool, and its own "private" sheltered cove with great snorkeling and "guaranteed" turtles, and a safe spot to SUP. No beach, but outstanding Napili and Kapalua beaches are only minutes away. We have returned for several years for multi-generational family stays in multiple units, and have stayed in a number of different units.
  
  Unit 216 was very nice. We used the upper loft bedroom with the queen bed, which had good ventilation with the fans and breeze, and no noise from the parking lot or road. The main floor bedroom with the twin beds is more exposed to the sun and sounds; we were using it for storage, not to sleep in. Booking via the HC rental association (Su and Betty) was great. Unit was clean and well maintained. Only criticism is that plates glassware etc were pretty limited and beaten up, and need to be renewed. We would rent this unit again, and recommend to others.

  I’ve stayed at Honokeana Cove 3 times. This particular time was a shorter stay, but everything was as clean, efficient and professionally run as my two previous visits. The cove was a little more churned up because of ocean conditions so the snorkelling was not as impressive as prior visits but still lots of turtles and fish to see. The unit was clean and well stocked with essentials. Furnishing a wee bit dated but honestly, that is the last thing to care about considering how lovely everything else is. The property is close enough to Lahaina to come and go as often as you like and the property also is very secure and well maintained. One morning we had 12 sea turtles on the rock beach. There is no sandy beach on the property (and I would find it a bit hard to get in with little kids because the shoreline is rocky) but this is some of the best snorkelling, and there is a lovely pool and lots of chairs to lounge on! Overall I highly recommend Honokeana Cove!

  We always enjoy being at Honokeana Cove. We were happy to be able to find a condo relatively late for Thanksgiving week. We were pleased to see Betty and Sue, the property managers, again. We have come here for many years and always feel the magic of instant relaxation. We wouldn't consider going anywhere else given the location and relatively easy entrance into the cove where there are plenty of turtles. My husband's favorite time is BBQ'ing with a view of the cove and Molakini.
  
  I've given this property (216) 4 stars instead of the 2 it deserved when we arrived. Our problems were taken care of quickly and they weren't a huge bother to us because our family had another condo rented as well. There is now a new refrigerator and any electrical issues in the kitchen outlets are probably solved. It is time for the owner to update the kitchen utensils, microwave, glasses and pots and pans. We appreciated the granite counters and newer cabinetry. The downstairs bath/shower needs grab bars.
  
  If you're seated on the veranda the view to the west in this unit is partially obstructed by a palm tree. That tree will grow! We still enjoyed the view and the warmth of the afternoon sun was controlled nicely by a shade that could be lowered.
  
  The units on this side of the complex tend to have a little more road noise, but it was tolerable to us because we're early risers. Bring ear plugs if you like to sleep in.
  
  Another reason we love the Cove is its proximity to Kapalua and the nice walking trails. There's only a short part on the road and then there are sidewalks and a low traffic lovely Cook Pine lined road up to good coffee and prepared food at the Honolua Store near the Ritz. There's also the ocean trail. There's no problem getting 10,000+ steps in a safe, interesting and varied environment, including walking next to the ocean.

  My husband and I had a wonderful time on our honeymoon. Rental 216 was cozy and clean. I know we didn’t come to Hawaii to sit and watch tv but it would have been nice to have some type of cable just when we were relaxing but at the same time it was nice to just sit on the patio and enjoy the beautiful day! One this that did stink was for two nights straight the alarm because beeping in the middle of the night and it was supposedly fixed the first night but then when it happened the next night my husband went to the office the next morning and they just gave him a battery to replace it himself. The Cove is quiet and relaxing and about 10 minutes or so from Lahaina. It’s a great location.

  This is a great location and a beautiful spot. The downside is inconsiderate other vacationers that let their children run wild and interfere with the sealife. I was stunned at the parents that sat drinking while their children yelled and ran wild and threw rocks at the turtles. There was no intervention to minimize this- very damaging to an otherwise wonderful rental.

  Really enjoyed our stay at Honokeana Cove! Very low-key, quite (except for the noisy traffic!), convenient...The condo was well equipped , but there were several dark dirty spots on the carpet, and the drapes in the bedroom needed to be replaced. We enjoyed the pool immensely and the convenience of the poolside bar-b-ques.

  The vacation rental was very nice. The kitchen was well stocked with items, better than most rentals that I have experienced. Liked that the location was low key. Pool nice. Ocean access nice too. Internet worked great. Management nice.

  I'm a repeat customer of Honokeana Cove in West Maui. It's always a great stay - with direct access to all of what Maui is about. A condo stay vs a traditional hotel is a much better way to enjoy Maui. Snorkeling right outside your condo, grill in your swimsuit and make new friends. I would recommend unit 208/216 - tastefully directed with great Lanai views.

  The grounds were amazing! This place is a piece of heaven. If you like the ocean, but hate the sand, this place is ideal. The pool, bbq's and the grounds were immaculant. I've never seen such perfect grass. Sue in the office could not be freindlier!.
  Our condo was a bit outdated, but had everything we could possibly need. My only complaint was no AC and the road noise in the front bedroom. There were box fans to help cool off with at night, but it rained while we were there and humidity was hard to rid of.
  We wsihed we would have stayed longer. It was fun to be in such a quint place and get to know everyone around us.

Used the free sea kayak to paddle around, and rented stand up boards nearby to get around the cove easily. Snorkeling was great. Pool was always a solid option for the kids. Groceries nearby, coffee nearby. Quiet sunsets every night looking directly at Molokai. Spotted two USN submarines on the surface. Clean place, friendly staff. Onsite laundry. Island breezes every day and night. Even in mid August no need for AC.

  We stayed for 10 days, and spent each and every day snorkeling with the turtles. The cove provided a surf free area where all forms of sea life live and is easy to reach. The condo was clean and comfortable. As they say there is no air conditioning, which under normal circumstances would be fine. We just happened to arrive on the day that heat was breaking all records, but with fans we were able to do ok. (the good part is that it got the teenagers out of the room and off their electronics. They discovered the sea life and we had them. It was a wonderful vacation for all. The Cove was located in a more residential area and one got the true feel of life in Hawaii. There were a few repairs that needed to be done and reported to the management. Nothing major.

  Stayed several times and always a very pleasant and relaxing time. Beautiful grounds and incredible view! The only complaints were the beds weren't comfortable in downstairs bedroom and the bed frame was unstable so whenever you moved the headboard knocked against the wall. Also the pillows weren't comfortale. They were down feathers but felt and sounded like the crunchy part of of the feather and no extra pillows in unit. I would suggest a plush mattress cover, nicer quality pillows and more sturdy bed frames.

  My husband and I stayed for 3 nights because we were meeting friends in Kaanapali and wanted to get away just the 2 of us for a few nights. Let me say WE ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT. The view from the lanai was beautiful, so much to look at. The condo its self was charming, clean and comfortable. The fans kept us at a perfect temp all day and night. We had breakfast at the Gazebo, friendly staff and delicious all 3 times. The only down fall was they were thatching the grass so there was non.We arrived at night and the tenants next to us gave us a friendly welcome and heads up that in the morning when the sun came up not to be surprised that there was no grass. Even though it didn't look desirable they kept the grounds clean. The community is awesome. Location was perfect. And Peaceful. In the morning and all day actually you can see turtles coming in the cove. The snorkeling was some of the best I've ever done. We paddle boarded also and that was my favorite. We rented from 808 boards and also Boss Frogs in Napili. If you do rent go to 808 they are walking distance from Napili Bay and they are familiar with the Maui weather and SUP. The cove was peaceful and had so many turtles! We even brought our friends over to Napili Bay several times later that week. The beach was sandy with minimal rocks upon entering. Calm water to paddle board and snorkel. We ate at the Sea House during Happy Hour. Best pork tacos and Mai Tais on the west side. We will definitely be back. Cant wait! Mahalo!!!

  We come to the Cove every year to our 'home away from home' for around six weeks. We've stayed here for the past ten plus years and during the time we visit, around February, there are many others who have returned year after year so it is like old home week every year. It is a quiet place, not a high rise. Great for couples old and young, but probably not for young kids and teens - no real kids amenities. The snorkelling in the cove is great when the water is calm - lots of turtles and fish to see.

  This is a gem of a place to stay. The overall property was spotless and well kept. The pool was amazing and the snorkeling super. The property staff is top notch and very attentive. My only caution is the the property sits on the road which allows you to hear road noise (just bothersome at night) and our unit could have been a bit more clean. Things like chocolate smudges on walls was mainly what I noticed. With that being said I would still come again and still recommend The Cove to all.

  Great little place to stay with a private bay for swimming right outside. Good snorkelling with plenty of turtles. The room was nice and clean and the manager very friendly. Only negative from the trip was that the wifi in our room had a bad connection. There was no air con in the room (only fans) but this didn't worry us too much - it wasn't too hot in the room anyway.

  We return to the Honkeana Cove every year for our winter vacation. Other guests and the management are very friendly and helpfull. We have stayed here every year since 2001 when we found the place by accident as we were staying next door at the Napili Point Resort. For us in February it's like a home coming. But I would not recommend it for families with active children, they'd be better off at a larger resort with water slides, kiddie pools and other kids activities. We are retired, so it is perfect for us.
