Attractive second floor two bath unit in private 38 unit complex Loft bedroom has King bed, downstairs bedroom with 2 twin beds(can be made into 1 King). Spectacular view of the Cove and Molokai Island across Pailolo Channel. The Cove is home to dozens of turtles and offers sheltered snorkeling above coral formations and tropical fish. Decor includes cabinets, granite countertops in kitchen and bathrooms, floor tile, and paint.. Both bathrooms were retiled with new fixtures.

A/C unit in downstairs bedroom. Available at no extra charge.

The peaceful cove offers some of the best snorkeling on Maui, with an abundance of coral formations, tropical fish, and sea turtles. Honokeana Cove is in West Maui, 8 miles north of historic Lahaina Town and 4 miles north of Ka'anapali . The gated complex offers a heated pool, gas BBQs, and luxurious tropical landscaping.

NEW TO VACATION CONDO RENTAL? If you're used to giant hotels with mile-long hallways, you'll find Honokeana Cove a refreshing change. You won't have hotel features like daily maid service, 24 hour desk, restaurant, gym or spa. Instead, you'll enjoy comfortable condos with full kitchen, bath and bedroom(s), perfect for couples, families and groups to relax together. We're not a "party" destination, because we keep quiet hours from 10 pm to 8 am. There are just 38 units in this gated oceanfront property, featuring basking sea turtles and never ending sunsets. We can't wait to welcome you!

Enhanced Cleaning and Disinfection: All Honokeana Cove units are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected before every guest. Housekeepers use EPA hospital-grade disinfectant sprays and cleaning agents with extra attention to all high-touch surfaces. All dishware including plates, bowls, glassware, coffee cups and silverware is washed at high temperature settings. All soft surfaces, including couches, occasional chairs and mattresses are sprayed with a disinfectant to assure cleanliness and safety. Linens and towels are washed with the highest heat temperature and additional drying time, to ensure proper sanitization.

Cancellations and Refunds: Bookings cancelled more than 30 days prior to check-in will receive refund of deposit less $50 cancellation fee. Less than 30 days prior to arrival date, cancellation forfeits the rental amount. However, if health or a personal issue causes you to cancel, contact the rental office. Guests are strongly encouraged to obtain trip insurance for protection from unforeseen circumstances.

Add Hawaii tax (17.416%; 17.962% effective 1/1/2024) & one cleaning fee to all rates. Specify your total number of guests of all ages for an accurate rate quote.

Unlike resort hotels, Honokeana Cove offers free Parking for one vehicle per unit. No Resort Fee. Hawaii taxes remitted by Honokeana Cove Rental Association LLC, Tax ID 067-626-5984-01. This unit has air conditioning in the living room; there are also ceiling fans.

  This unit has been completely updated and is absolutely lovely. And the whole property is great! It's literally just steps down to the cove for some of the best snorkeling we've ever done. There are so many turtles! Check in and check out are easy and the property is immaculately maintained and quiet. To be clear these are condos and not a hotel, so it doesn't have a lot of the amenities that the big places have (which is how we prefer it). I recommend this to everyone looking for a quieter experience where every lanai faces the ocean.

  We had a wonderful week at Honokeana Cove. This was not our first stay, and it won’t be the last. The actual cove is a fantastic snorkeling spot full of fish and turtles. Usually calm waters, easy entry you won’t find a better spot. We appreciate the small property and got to know some really nice people as we saw them each day in the pool. The condo itself was very clean and had everything you could want for cooking. The bathrooms were good, the air conditioner in the down stairs bedroom a bonus. We stayed in unit 214. The views were just incredible. Su in the office was helpful and we appreciated the hard work the gardener did every day keeping the grounds looking great. The descriptions on the website are very accurate as to each units furnishings. The location in Napili is amazing. There are restaurants close by as well as grocery stores and some shopping. Honokeana Cove is highly recommended by us!

  The location can’t be beat. It is very quaint and there were so many turtles during my stay. Check in and check out was strict and for the price it would have been nice to have some form of housekeeping, at a minimum towel service. Check out by 10am with no wiggle room was allowed (I asked) and check in is late on the day so for $500 a day I think you are shorting folks by quite a bit on one of the reserved days. Would I stay here again? Probably so as the turtle watching was like no other. Around the corner was a nice sandy beach. There were many folks snorkeling in the bay at this resort.

  This is our time staying in Unit 214, although we have been to Honokeana Cove numerous times. We loved the view and appreciated the extra fans, which provided additional cooling. Loved the downstairs shower and fully stocked kitchen. Only suggestions would be to provide a little more cupboard space for groceries and provide charging ports. Wish Wednesday Potluck would return. Love the staff and the grounds are beautiful and well kept.
  Would like to see some sort of policy / policy enforcement of respecting all guest's experience (i.e. guests should keep noise down and parents should remind their children there are other guests- they are not at home (screaming, yelling, etc.)

  (Shhhh, don’t tell anyone!!) Honokeana is absolutely our favorite place to stay on Maui! This time, we were in 214, staying upstairs in the loft. We were happy with the unit - well-stocked and in good condition.
  The weather was warmer than usual, with few trade winds, so it was pretty toasty upstairs. Su was kind enough to loan us a fan, as the A/C unit is in the downstairs bedroom, where our friends stayed.
  Loved snorkeling with honu every day. It’s been a while since we’ve been at Honokeana - we think that the lull in visitors (due to covid) might have enticed more fish to return. Seems as if there were more fish in the cove than we remembered.
  The grounds continue to be immaculate and carefully maintained and the on-site manager was friendly, polite and patient with all guests. Su and Betty continue to do a great job with communication and operations.
  As I said, shhhh, don’t tell anyone else!

  We spent 5 nights in unit 214 in mid September. There were the two of us so the fact that the unit is compact. The unit is very well outfitted and the condition is great. Lack of AC was a concern, but by our bedtime (10:30-11:00p), the cross ventilation had the upstairs comfortable enough to sleep with a sheet.
  
  We enjoyed that the property is small scale. The grounds are lovely. It seems very well tended by the resident manager and his family. We did a lot of snorkeling and diving on this trip and the opportunity to swim with lots of turtles in the cove was a highlight. We didn't mind having to head to Kaanapali or Lahaina for meals or errands. Getting around was easy.
  
  We would definitely recommend Honokeana Cove in general and very much enjoyed #214.

  Although we live on beautiful Maui we needed a "Staycation". Honokeana was ideal. Exceptional view. Facing a bay full of turtles we snorkeled and paddled right outside our Condo. The location was a short drive to Merriman's restaurant which offers outside dining and tasty food. The Condo was tastefully decorated and comfortable. We loved sitting at balcony to have drinks and pupus while enjoying the ocean view. Honokeana was a perfect getaway.

  Unit #214 is an amazing unit. Well equipt and beautiful. The owners difinitley take pride in there condo. The view from the Lani is perfect. The kitchen has everything you would need. The bedrooms are great and the unit has two full bathrooms. The grounds are so tropical and lush. We have been staying at the Honokeana Cove for over 25 yrs. This is one of my favorit units. The staff is wonderful. They make you feel like family. The snorkling is amazing. So many Turtles and fish. A snorklers paradise. I can't wait till my next visit.   Great small condo complex on a beautiful cove next to Napili Bay. Snorkeling was amazing lots of turtles, beautiful fish, coral and sea life. The complex is very well maintained. Our unit was clean and nicely decorated with Hawaiian decor. We only had one air conditioner in down stairs bedroom which was not sufficient to cool the entire unit and the upstairs loft got quite hot at night. We tried to move down stairs as it was cooler but found the sofa bed had a bicycle lock on it and could not be pulled. That was very strange and disappointing. But other then that we had a nice stay. I would have given five stars if it would have had sufficient air conditioning and sofa bed was not locked.

Some of the condos do have a portable a/c provided in the bedrooms which are meant to cool only the room.   We've been vacationing at the Honokeana since 1999; and it's always a great place to stay - clean, well-kept, turtles and sea life galore in the cove, friendly & professional property management staff. A bit too noisy and rambunctious at the pool this time. Will definitely return while school is still in session!

  Clean, comfortable with all the necessary amenities. But the real reason to come to Honokeana Cove is the location. The Cove is protected from waves and offers great snorkeling. Turtles everywhere. The coral and fish are also pretty spectacular. It is calm enough that my 3-year-old joined me in the Cove with his floaties to see the turtles. Beautiful sunsets from the pool area or even the balcony. We also saw several whales offshore. 3 minute walk to Napili beach. The North side of the beach is somewhat protected from the waves and good for small kids. The south side has some bigger waves if you looking for more action. Overall, a great place. We will be back.

  A pleasure to return to the Cove and the welcoming and cheerful voice of the Manager Su. Such a relaxing holiday with a mesmerising view out to sea with the occasional turtle and snorkeler bobbling about. All low rise condos facing around a picturesque garden area and out to sea. We feel that some of the condos need upgrading, including 214, to bring them up to date on today’s standards, just simple, light and modern to give a feeling of space. On saying that, we look forward to returning next year.

  This is our second visit to the Cove and once again the experience was wonderful. Unit 214 comfortably accommodated two couples. The view of Molokai is unsurpassed, and the cove's clear calm water was a snorkeler's paradise. We enjoyed the fact that there were more turtles than people, and the fishes were abundant. So much fun! A word or two about Su and her staff - we appreciated their graciousness, professionalism, and timely response to a couple minor issues we experienced. All in all, it was a fabulous week and we can't wait to return. But it's a we keep this little jewel to ourselves, or recommend it to friends and family.......?! (Note: there are no beach chairs/umbrellas in this unit so you'll need to purchase those either at Costco or any ABC Store.)

  This was our second stay in Honokeana Cove and it was fantastic. The protected cove out front is full of fish and turtles which made for great snorkeling. Su and the staff are fantastic as always and the owners of Unit 214 were great. The location can't be beat, far enough from the bigger centers that you don't get the traffic but still close enough to drive to. My only complaint is that there are some condos that the owner's must live in and they have a hate on for kids and any kind of activities that kids do in and around the pool. When kids under 10 are in the pool at 3pm on xmas holidays, in the sun, they should be allowed to be kids. If these older owners want quiet they should move to a retirement home. Anyone with kids would get glares and even some complaints with the office, be aware if you are travelling with younger kids.

  last year we stayed 10 days and it was fantastic. when we left we made reservations for 2 weeks. our first week was a disappointment. several large familes decided that this beautiful palce was their kids playground. noise , swimming pool always crowded with kids that their parents did not make their kids and young adults follow the rules of the pool. same with trying to cook on the grills. the second week was what we came for , a wonderful time of relaxing and we still plan on returning but hope some action is taken to monitor the resort. everyone at the resort was great especially sue.

  This is a dream view - we say many many whales from our balcony better than on a tour we took in Honolulu to see them by boat. The condo is decorated so you know you are in Hawaii and fully stocked kitchen, comfortable beds- the binoculars made the whale watching easy. The only sad thing was the weather was crummy for snorkeling but for one day. And we had rented this for the snorkeling. Also we were very sad to see the ramp had been removed - WHY on Earth??? We had seen it a few years ago and said we would stay there next time. But it is gone. The entrance now is dangerous for anyone not light on their feet and even the young struggle. We saw one woman fall backwards into the rocks and others come away limping. Anyway I cannot believe that the ramp could endanger turtles - but it's absence endangers people. So that spoiled our dreams a bit. I would rent again but if i could stay for the same price on an easy entry beach for snorkeling i would probably opt for that instead. Such a shame to loose that ramp. We later read it was for environmental reasons???? But, 8 tourists were killed in one week while we were in Hawaii - maybe the Government should reconsider some preservation regulations when they make Hawaii more dangerous for humans.

    Aloha Don, Sorry to hear that we had bad snorkeling weather. This is the time of year when North swells hit the island and snorkeling is a hit or miss situation. To insure great snorkeling, come see us in the summer months. We do have some stairs on the South side of the Cove that help with the access into and out of the water.   We were very happy to return to Maui after our honeymoon 30 years ago. Our youngest sons came with us so we wanted to find a family friendly condo on the water. Honokeana Cove was everything we had been promised. We all enjoyed the snorkeling in the clear water of the cove and saw several green sea turtles and tropical fish each day. The condo was spacious and in good condition. The maid service provided after the first week was excellent. The manager on site quickly responded to our questions. Even with two hurricanes approaching, the weather remained great and we enjoyed the ocean breeze and the beautiful sunsets. We explored other beaches for snorkeling during our stay but none could compare with this cove. The complex is small so it never felt overcrowded and the guests were friendly and thoughtful of each other. We visited the boardwalk in Lahaina and ate at Cool Cat Cafe, Amigo's Mexican restaurant and Lahaina Pizza Co.(all reasonably priced). We also ventured to Hana and Haleakala Crater. We had authentic Hawaiian meals in Wailuku at Tokyo Tei and Sam Sato's (both popular with the locals with tasty meals). We would not hesitate to recommend this condo to our family and friends.

  A very pleasant stay but the units are very close together and if you get talkative or loud neighbors it can be quite noisy.
  
  The unit we stayed in was lacking a few items that would have been used if there. An electric griddle and a couple of non stick frying pans would have been nice.

  We were fortunate enough to book a three-night stay at Honokeana Cove Rentals at the end of January 2015. It was our first time in Maui, so we tried to do as much as possible: the road to Hana; Old Lahaina Luau; Paragon Sailing trip to Lanai. While we didn't spent lots of time on the Cove grounds, the view from our balcony and our room gave us just the respite from sight-seeing we needed!! Definitely will return for a longer stay next time!! Thank you!!!

  We had a great visit in unit 214 in late January. The whales were active and we had a great view of their activity on West Maui. the Cove is full of large turtle and it is great to watch them. Just don't touch them is you go there. We got on to people for trying to touch them and for standing on the coral. I recommend that you wear neoprene socks to snorkel as there are rocks that you have to climb over to get to the water. A great value for a West Maui ocean front condo. It does sit in the back of the cove so the view is cut down a bit.

  We had a spectacular 12 day vacation in Maui and loved our accommodations in #214 at Honokeana Cove. It was perfection - immaculate, tastefully decorated, lots of room for two adults and a teenager, as well as a recently updated kitchen and bathrooms. Gorgeous view from the lanai and close to all of our favourite places. The highlight was the beautiful, peaceful cove where we spent many hours snorkelling and watching the sea turtles. Cannot wait to return!

  The grounds are well kept with beautiful gardens. The view are gorgeous & the cove is perfect for an active family. We were able to snorkel, dive & paddle board. Had an awesome experience. We also enjoyed swimming at the pool & the small community feeling when people watched the sunsets as they grilled their meals.
  The condo is very nicely decorated with furniture well placed. The kitchen is stocked really well for helping you feel at home. The ceiling fans helped with air flow, but was very glad to find portable fans in closet to use. Helped hide the sound of passing traffic. The office was great having any extra fans needed.
  The only complaint I can have is that it could have been cleaned better. I had to vacuum the dead bugs near nightstands as well as spiderwebs on lamps. Might want to spray for ants & mosquitos. If you pay a cleaning company, they should also vacuum under couch cushions. For me, cleanliness is so important. I treat where I stay like my own home & try to respect it. My complaints are to help not condemn. Sue at office is great.

  PS-the man cleaning the pool deck should do so when there are NO people in pool.
  He was spraying some chemical on stones & brushing with a broom. Not cool.

  Honokeana Cove was the PERFECT place for our family. We hadn't done much travelling with our two kids (5 1/2 and 1 1/2) and I was nervous about whether the condo would accommodate our needs. I was thrilled with what I saw when we got there! The big grassy area with a pool and barbecues was a great place to hang out with our older son while the little one napped. The property was well maintained and the pool was very clean. The cove itself was a GREAT place to snorkel and our son was very comfortable swimming out there. The only reason I gave less than 5 stars for the property's general condition is that there was a lot of landscaping going on when we were there and it was a slight inconvenience. I'm sure by now all of the plants and gates are up and it looks even more beautiful than it did when we were there!
  The condo itself was in great condition, with updated granite countertops and comfortable, updated furnishings. The downstairs bedroom was perfect for the kids and the loft area made a great bedroom for my husband and me. The most thrilling part of staying in Honokeana Cove was the view. I could stand in the kitchen and watch whales breaching between Maui and Molokai. Then we would head out to the lanai for dinner and watch the turtles who frequent the cove with the whale show as a backdrop. It was just a dreamy stay and I can't wait to do it again.
