Only minutes away from Kaanapali, this one bedroom plus loft oceanfront condo in Napili, West Maui offers wonderful ocean views. This two level unit sleeps up to 5 and is located within walking distance to Napili Bay, one of the best swimming beaches in all of Maui. The main level of this Honokeana Cove condo consists of one bedroom with one queen and one single bed, one bath, an upgraded kitchen with granite countertops, cozy living room and a lanai to enjoy the amazing view. The upstairs loft has a California King bed, a bath and a closet.

Most of our guests are return guests who come back year after year. The secluded prime location makes this complex one of the most desirable vacation condo resorts in Maui. Honokeana Cove offers some of the best snorkeling on Maui.

Kapalua Resort, with three championship golf courses and two world class tennis facilities is only a short distance away.

Swimming with the turtles at Honokeana Cove is an amazing experience that many of our guests enjoy. Guests also enjoy weekly 'pupu' parties. BBQ facilities are also available for your enjoyment.

NEW TO VACATION CONDO RENTAL? If you're used to giant hotels with mile-long hallways, you'll find Honokeana Cove a refreshing change. You won't have hotel features like daily maid service, 24 hour desk, restaurant, gym or spa. Instead, you'll enjoy comfortable condos with full kitchen, bath and bedroom(s), perfect for couples, families and groups to relax together.

Enhanced Cleaning and Disinfection: All Honokeana Cove units are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected before every guest. Housekeepers use EPA hospital-grade disinfectant sprays and cleaning agents with extra attention to all high-touch surfaces. All dishware including plates, bowls, glassware, coffee cups and silverware is washed at high temperature settings. All soft surfaces, including couches, occasional chairs and mattresses are sprayed with a disinfectant to assure cleanliness and safety. Linens and towels are washed with the highest heat temperature and additional drying time, to ensure proper sanitization.

Cancellations and Refunds: Bookings cancelled more than 30 days prior to check-in will receive refund of deposit less $50 cancellation fee. Less than 30 days prior to arrival date, cancellation forfeits the rental amount. However, if health or a personal issue causes you to cancel, contact the rental office. Guests are strongly encouraged to obtain trip insurance for protection from unforeseen circumstances.

Add Hawaii tax (17.416%; 17.962% effective 1/1/2024) & one cleaning fee to all rates. Specify your total number of guests of all ages for an accurate rate quote.

  This is such a special place. We spent hours snorkeling in the cove watching the turtles and fish. We spotted lots of eels and octopuses. For us, it's the perfect combination of location and reasonable price. The lovely lawn and pool area are very secluded and more than make up for the lack of sandy beach; in fact, we found we prefer the lack of sand. True, these are not luxury condos, but who needs that when you are in the sun and sea all day? We were more than comfortable with our group in an upstairs unit, and we loved waking up to drink coffee on the lanai and watch the water.

  We are repeat visitors and have stayed in various units. The location of the unit was good. Here are what could be done to improve it. Carpets need to be cleaned, kitchen lacks everyday items such as cookie sheet, pans to go in the oven, glass pans, etc. The mattress upstairs needs to be switched out as it is extremely hard! Many other units at the cove have well appointed kitchen supplies.

  We had an absolutely amazing time. The Condo was pretty great. We did arrive pretty late, and the condo was very hot. Perhaps there is some way to let it air before arrival. The cooler in the lower area was loud but worked great, but the loft was much hotter throughout our stay. We also noticed damage in the upstairs bathroom. This is the most amazing place in the world, and everyone we met was awesome!

  Honokeana Cove is amazing! Stayed for a week on a girls trip with my two adult daughters. Good access into a great snorkeling cove. Lots of turtles:).The overall property is very well-maintained but unit 211 is in need of some serious attention. Carpeting and furniture is very tired, broken down and dirty. No decent beach chairs.. Beds and pillows only OK. Management on site was very nice. Owners need to clean, paint and replace. I would stay in the complex but not unit 211 as it is now.

  The location and the property was unbeatable! If you don’t want to stay in a concrete high-rise or in some timeshare 2 miles from the water this is the place for you. The staff was friendly and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed the cove and swimming with the turtles was incredible. The dive shop even commented what a great spot we had because they have steps down into the water.
  
  The unit itself satisfied our needs. The mattress could use replacing (it is a bit saggy) and an I think we went during a warm spell and while the portable A/C downstairs kept the kids cool the loft was very warm. The extra standing fan was Wonderful. I think an end unit with extra windows would have been cooler. The laundry facilities were clean and worked well. They had 2 laundry rooms with 2 washers and 2 dryers in each. I loved the more intimate setting, the location was great. There is a grocery store and restaurants 3 minutes up the road and a place to rent paddleboards almost next door.
  
  The birds chirping in the tree outside the back balcony every morning was a bit loud if you left all the louvered doors and windows open but I loved it! I really liked hearing the Doves cooing and there was a red headed Cardinal hanging around too. It was nice to relax on our Balcony and watch the kids paddle board and snorkel. The grounds were immaculate and the beautiful rainbow in the cove our last morning almost magical. You won’t regret staying at this property!

  We had a fabulous first stay at Honokeana Cove: in fact we were so pleased we signed up for a second visit before we left. You have to book a year ahead or more to get the best condos. We stayed at #211 for our first visit because it was the only suitable one remaining eight months ahead. Not wishing to detract from the overall experience of this small jewel of a resort it must be said #211 suffers from owner neglect and lack of upgrades over the years. Maybe this review will prompt some action. Some chipped cups and plates, very dated furniture, extremely worn out cutting boards, terribly uncomfortable pillows, drawers and closets filled with an odd assortment of old games, random water sports equipment, a balcony door that no longer locked and so on. A dishwasher strangely located that it scraped the adjoining cupboard door when opened and closed, drawers and cupboards with no handles. Nothing horrendous but all displaying an owner lacking care and riding on the reputation of the resort itself to seek revenue without reinvesting in maintenance and upgrades. I highly recommend this resort but avoid this unit if you can. If it is the last one left - then go anyway. There is so much to enjoy with the setting, the pool, the manicured lawn, snorkelling with the turtles, the very helpful office staff. One thing I would like to see is a small dock to allow snorkelers to get in and out of the water without struggling over slippery rocks in the shallows.

As far as getting into the water, the County of Maui will not allow any structures placed on County property. We used to have a ramp but we were forced to remove it due to liability issues.   Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Honokeana. It has a beautiful view and an awesome snorkeling cove. However, the internet did not work at all, which is tough for people who have to work a little bit on vacation. And there’s no real AC so it was HOT! My husband and I had to sleep in separate beds because we were too toasty. Which was a bummer of course.

  We had the best time at our Honokeana condo this past week. We swam with a pod of turtles and even got engaged in the cove. Our condo was cozy and filled with everything we could have needed. The other condos were booked but it was still so quiet we felt like we were the only ones. There were some issues with our WiFi (it didn’t work all week) but I the rental manager was so helpful in getting a solution worked out for us. There were a handful of times I wished they had a hot tub but it certainly wasn’t a deal breaker. I hope to be back soon.

  Absolutely beautiful property. On site management was fantastic. The cove was beautiful. Unit was dated, but we were aware having looked at the photos before booking. Description of unit was accurate. We had a couple of issues with appliances/plumbing, but those were addressed promptly and professionally. Loved being able to grill on site. Loved the snorkeling...sandy beach just a short walk away. We would love to return to this property again. Overall a 5 out of 5. I can't give a 5 for the overall condition due to the dated nature of the unit, but again, we were aware prior to booking, so we were not expecting anything different.

  We had a great time at Honokeana cove. The unit was nice and clean with all the amenities. The pool was well used by us and the kids, and the snorkelling in the bag was great.
  We wish we looked around better for the beach and snorkel gear that was in the closet, as we rented a beach set (snorkel, chairs, cooler, chairs) and didn't have to. Kitchen stove was a bit dated and not all the elements worked. But we were able to manage. condo was missing a plug for the bathtub, and the shower upstairs could use a new shower head.
  Will likely come back again to Honokeana Cove again.

  We spent two weeks in 211 and loved every minute of it. Nicely furnished, fully equipped, and very clean. The view was spectacular, so much so that we did not turn on the TV the whole time. We had meals and beverages on the lanai and enjoyed the awesome view instead.
  
  We love the water, pool and ocean, so we always had towels to dry out, but virtually no hooks anywhere to hang them out to dry. More hooks would be great!

  We have been to Honokeana several times before. This was our first stay in Unit 211. The view is terrific and the suite spacious. The furnishings and Decor are dated and tired. Carpeting needs replacement and the bathrooms need upgrading. I did note that the kitchen and appliances had been upgraded. The property is beautiful and well maintained. The staff is helpful. I will stay at Honokeana again but not in suite 211.

  I usually stay next door at Napili Pointe but wanted to give this place a try. The unit we stayed in was outdated in the downstairs bath and the kitchen cabinets could have used some knobs to better open them. The furniture was uncomfortable and the bed was rock hard. I'm sure some of the other units are more updated, I hope. I missed having the laundry in the unit, but having machines on the property was a plus. The view is great and the pool and grass area was terrific. Other guests staying there were very nice. Would try another unit for sure.

  My family of 5 (3 children, 2 adults) loved staying at Honokeana Cove. It was amazing to be able to experience snorkeling with the sea turtles and all of the tropical fish right out our front door. Our loft condo had a great view. Everyone in the complex was friendly. Any issues we had with the condo were addressed right away (ie. light bulb changes etc.). The pool was great to swim in when we were done exploring or swimming at the close beaches nearby. We will definitely stay here again.

The location of the condo makes it easy to go to the two local farmer's markets. Groceries, espresso and small cafes are close by. The kitchen has recently been remodeled. As has the master bath. Air conditioning is available for sleeping during summer months. Attractive, comfortable furnishing help us make the most of our vacation.

  Our family enjoyed their first trip together to Maui. The Honokeana Cove could not have been a better location for this. The property is amazing. I am an early riser and watched every morning as the property was carefully groomed. The pool was very clean and access to the beach was very simple. Check in and check out were made easy and we were given permission to utilize the beach even after checkout. I would definitely recommend this property as it is the best snorkeling in Maui. Only con is that the rooms are a little worn and could use some TLC. Baseboard needs repair and some wall patches were poorly done. All things I can live with. Otherwise, I will be back.

  Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Honokeana Cove. Being able to enter the ocean from the property to snorkel was a plus. The staff was helpful and the grounds were well maintained. It is a lovely view as well. Our unit was somewhat dated and needs new furniture. The kitchen itself was fine but the dishes, utensils and cookware could be replaced to help refresh the unit. It is a small complex which is nice but you are also in close audio and visual contact with the neighbors. Again, we had a very nice stay.

The pool was 20 steps away, 15 more to the ocean. Whale watching while bbq'ing, snorkeling with turtles. We had one small problem with our shower and it was fixed within the hour. Can't wait to go back!

  Our daughter had a destination wedding at Maui and several attending families, including my daughter's, rented units at Honokeana Cove. It was a perfect spot for a get-together like this. We loved the cove, the view, and the grounds, which are beautiful and well kept. The unit was nice and adequate for our needs and the mattresses and pillows very good--but a few things could have been better. AC would have been really helpful, as the weather was very, very hot. The sliding closet door in the downstairs bedroom was stuck, so only half of the closet was accessible. We reported this right away, but it was never fixed. We needed more dish towels, but somehow never managed to get additional ones. The kitchen was not very well provisioned with pots, and there was only a long fork to use for the BBQ, which left us improvising with varying results, especially for cooking fish. There was no place to hang wet towels and bathing suits except on the deck chairs. The downstairs bedroom got a lot of road noise and light from the street lights, and the only way to reduce this was to close the windows and blinds, which created a very hot and uncomfortable sleeping situation. AC in this room was a missing essential. The upstairs loft was very nice -- but being on the top level of the condo, it got very hot and stuffy, even with the ceiling fan running full-tilt 24X7. Again, AC would have fixed this issue. The management and maintenance staff were friendly and helpful, and the cleaning staff did a good job.

  This is a three part review that includes Location, Staff and Unit. Location: 5 Stars. There is no better place on Maui for snorkeling. Access is easy and safe, the water is clear and the turtles and fish are plentiful. Napili is one of the most beautiful places on Maui. Good shopping is nearby, also restaurants. It is a short walk to a big beach with lot’s to do. Honokeana is a very family friendly place. Your kids will have a ball playing in the pool and with other kids on the large lawn areas. You and your family will not be disappointed. Staff: 5 Stars. Greg (resident manager) Crystal and Sue (office managers) are the best. Always responsive and helpful, always attentive to our needs, questions and concerns. I can't say enough good things about them. Thank You! Unit: 3 stars. 211 is a bit tired and in need of some TLC. Compared to some of the other units on site, 211 is not the best. The kitchen is small but adequate for doing basic cooking, nothing more. The appliances are old. The upstairs loft is hot and ventilation poor. Downstairs is OK. The second story (walk upstairs to the front door) in 211’s building is more private, but has more traffic (street) noise. Rude neighbors can be an issue in any apartment/condo style layout. There are units on either side of 211. The lanai/veranda is small and a bit cramped. The view though is one of the best at Honokeana. It overlooks the pool and grounds (you can watch your kids from the lanai), the cove and the sunset. It’s one we never tire of. Overall this part of the critique is a bit harsh. But it’s only fair because many of the other units at Honokeana are 5 Stars. This isn’t to say I would not stay in 211 again. I would, but it would not be my first choice if another choice were available. That said, I would rather stay in 211 at Honokeana any day, than to stay at another resort.

  We had a really lovely time at Honokeana Cove and in Maui generally - we would have loved to stay longer. The location was fantastic and the accommodation was well presented. Our unit (a one bedroom and loft) had plenty of space for four adults and a child. Swimming in the cove at all times of the day with the turtles was truly fantastic, and we even spotted two whales from our balcony. The only negative was the dethatching of all of the grassed areas on the second day of our stay, a noisy and messy process that took all day and left behind a view of brown soil and an overwhelming fertiliser smell for the next four days of our stay. It certainly changed the pretty picture that you see on the website. Having said that, Rental Manager Su Campos responded promptly and in a very satisfactory manner when we addressed our disappointment. On that basis, I would certainly recommended the Cove, just double check when they are re-doing the lawns!

  After 3 trips to Maui finally found a condo great for families with older kids and couples seeking quiet. We had a great two storey condo that was very clean and had a view better than the website can show. Whales from the patio and fantastic snorkelling with many turtles and fish in the cove at your doorstep. Great restaurants like Merriman's and Iron Imu BBQ nearby as well. Will be back

  This is our sixth stay at Honokeana Cove over 20 years. First time in summer. AC would be nice but we never missed it before since we always came for the whales (Jan,-March). There were a few problems, i.e. ripped bed skirt and ripped screen door, but Su said that they would be fixed. Much easier to get into water than 2011. Many beautiful birds came for breakfast.Thanks.

  We didn't know anything about this place, other than the Napili Bay area had been recommended. I loved everything about it! The location was fabulous. Snorkeling in the bay was wonderful. We could sit on the balcony and watch whales and turtles. It was a short walk to get over to the beach at Napili. I wish I could go there several weeks every year. Oh, and the yard man was the hardest working person I've ever seen.

  This condo is located in a nice little complex with a pretty lawn and small pool, in which all units face the water. It is a short drive to Kaanapali and Lahaina, as well as to the northern edge of West Maui, which is beautiful and kind of wild. You can also walk over to other Napili resorts with terrific restaurants. The best thing about this place is the cove it sits on -- a small cove that was calm even though conditions further out were quite rough, with incredible snorkeling, especially if you like sea turtles. In fact you can watch the turtles pop up on the water as you eat breakfast on your lanai. Management of the unit and complex was very good. The unit itself could use a little updating, but not a big deal. We would stay again.

  Honokeana Cove is one of the most beautiful spots in all of Maui. From our lanai (porch) on the second floor we saw humpback whales every day of our stay and the snorkeling in the cove is great. There are at least a dozen green sea turtles living in the cove and they don't mind sharing the cove with snorkelers. Su in the office is the best - I've been coming here 20 years and she takes good care of you. Only thing to remember is units don't have A/C - so it can be hot in summer months.

  Honokeana Cove was still undergoing its major renovation of the building where I stayed; as a result, there were many disruptions such as unfinished details, workmen everywhere, inspections of the unit where I stayed, etc. Not very relaxing at times, so I would hope it gets better from this point on. The management was professional and very helpful. In retrospect, it would have been better to wait and rent when the renovation was complete, but of course, the property is losing a lot of revenue while waiting for completion.
