Honokeana Cove is in Napili, West Maui, just 8 miles north of historic Lahaina Town. The gated property surrounds a secluded cove with a breathtaking view of the nearby island of Molokai from every unit. Experience Old Hawaii in one of these 38 low-rise units surrounded by luxurious tropical landscaping. The peaceful cove offers some of the best snorkeling on Maui, right outside your door with an abundance of coral formations, tropical fish, and green sea turtles. A sparkling heated swimming pool only steps from your condominium adds to the dreamlike atmosphere of this tropical paradise.

Surf breaks Hole in the Head and Little Makaha are visible from the Grounds. If you would like to lie on the beach, the famed Napili Beach, known for its people watching, boogie boarding waves and gorgeous Maui sand, is a 5 minute walk around the corner.

The 2 majestic Kapalua golf courses are just 3 miles up the coast and another .5 miles north of that you'll come to Honolua Bay, known for it's world class surf break and undeniable natural beauty. Just 6 miles south you'll find Ka'anapali beach with its Black Rock for jumping and great snorkeling. A do not miss with teens!

Lahaina Town is just 8 miles south. There you'll find plenty of galleries, boutiques and dining There is a nearby skate park, historical walk and the Old Lahaina Luau.

If you feel like staying closer to home, there are several wonderful restaurants within walking distance or a short drive from the condo, or use the excellent shared BBQ's on site, right on the oceanfront, under the tiki torches while you take in the unforgettable Maui sunsets!

You won't have hotel features like daily maid service, 24 hour desk, restaurant, gym or spa. Instead, you'll enjoy comfortable condos with full kitchen, bath and bedroom(s), perfect for couples, families and groups to relax together.

Enhanced Cleaning and Disinfection: All Honokeana Cove units are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected before every guest. Housekeepers use EPA hospital-grade disinfectant sprays and cleaning agents with extra attention to all high-touch surfaces.

Cancellations and Refunds: Bookings cancelled more than 30 days prior to check-in will receive refund of deposit less $50 cancellation fee. Less than 30 days prior to arrival date, cancellation forfeits the rental amount. However, if health or a personal issue causes you to cancel, contact the rental office. Guests are strongly encouraged to obtain trip insurance for protection from unforeseen circumstances.

Add Hawaii tax (17.416%; 17.962% effective 1/1/2024) & one cleaning fee to all rates. Specify your total number of guests of all ages for an accurate rate quote. 8.

Free Parking for one vehicle. No Resort Fee. 210 is an upstairs end unit. It is light, bright and airy with high ceilings. Hawaii taxes remitted by Honokeana Cove Rental Association LLC, Tax ID 067-626-5984-01. The King and Twin bedrooms both have Air conditioning! Upstairs loft bedroom has a super fan and exhaust window for cooling.

  Beautiful location with a great ocean view. This condo was clean and well cared for and with 3 bedrooms, was enough space for everyone. The kitchen was well stocked and plenty of eating places nearby. The only thing missing was a washer/dryer in the unit itself but one is available as a coin operated laundry downstairs.

  There is no other word to describe Honokeana Cove but magical. If you want a beautiful setting, stunning views, friendly people and to see the sea turtles and whales from your chair this is the place. Only 38 units. This is not a busy resort with all the amenities, it is quiet and beauty is the main amenity. The guest actually become friends. Since we found it we have not stayed any place else. We are already planning our next stay.

  This is the second time we have stayed at the Cove and it never disappoints! We absolutely love this property. We stayed in #210, nice unit. The beds were comfortable, however the living room furniture could used an update, just not very comfortable to longe and watch some tv. Surprised there were no tv’s in the other room other than the room with the twin beds, but not a dealbreaker. The Wi-Fi was spotty, might have been weather related or there might be a need for a new router. Lanai is great with great views of the cove, however the chairs can get uncomfortable, maybe pads on the chairs possibly? This unit, the road noise can get annoying at bed time. Kitchen was great, all the utensils you would need. The BBQ’s are fantastic! I tell you, we love this property, it’s a great community feel. So peaceful, we just love it. It’s a hidden gem. Thank you Su and to all that keep this property in pristine, we love it! Of course be able to snorkel and visit the amazing turtles and fish in the cove- this place is a win win, highly recommend!!

  We had a wonderful stay, I can’t say enough about how beautiful the setting is at Honokeana Cove! It’s a small, intimate cove where you can watch the waves for hours. And the turtles are wonderful, they come up to sun themselves in the afternoon, we counted as many as 14 on the beach at one time. We watched for them every day. And you’ll see them swimming in and out of the cove all the time. The condo is very comfortable, the beds in particular are excellent. The kitchen is well stocked although we didn’t cook much since there are so many good restaurants to visit. We rented e-bikes for a day and rode them out to the blowhole. The waves were very big that day and we had a great ride along with lunch in Kapalua. I highly recommend that if you enjoy biking. Mahalo Kelly!!

The cove has wonderful snorkeling and it's an easy walk to restaurants, groceries and other beaches. The road is loud, so bring earplugs, but we wouldn't want to stay anywhere else on Maui!

  I’d say the most amount of turtles to be seen are right out front. Went on a snorkeling tour that took us to “Turtle Island”, which was a joke. It appeared recently remodeled.   Absolutely loved our stay and the unit is amazing! The only issue that we had was with the TVs and internet. The internet went out fairly often and the cable in the living room TV would occasionally lose audio and go out entirely. Which was an issue since we were trying to watch a football game. The TV in the smaller room would occasionally lose the picture entirely. The sound would continue playing but the image would be gone. Over all these issues were very small and I still would 1000% recommend this unit and the cove in general. I just wanted to make sure you knew these devices were a bit spotty.   Great in all respects! This was our 4th time to stay at Honokeana. The condo is clean, although not new. We love the community feel, the managers the view, the grounds and the turtles!!   We spent 4 days at this magnificent spot in paradise. Of all of the places we stayed during our 2 weeks on the islands, our experience at the Cove was my favorite. The best part was my twice daily swim in the cove. Super user friendly, nothing adverse. I am a daily swimmer and so took advantage of the wide open clean, clear space to get my swim in. The bonus was being able to see all of the fish, coral, and most incredibly, the turtles! So much fun! The water temperature was about 78 to 80 degrees. The condo itself, unit #210 was beautifully decorated and in perfect condition. The Kitchen was well appointed with everything that we could need. Comfortable, clean, quiet, with the easy ability to create privacy. Mostly, we found ourselves desiring to just hang out and relax, read, swim in the cove and be together in peace. We highly recommend unit #210 at Honokeana Cove in Lahaina! Our gratitude goes out to the owners of this unit for creating such a welcoming place to be.

  These condos are a hidden gem! We have stayed all over the island throughout the years and this is our favorite location. The condo is decorated in a tasteful tropical style and very clean with comfortable beds. The quaint Napili beach area had a plethora of places to eat. My favorites were the Thai truck at The Food Truck Park, Joey's kitchen, and for a special dinner, The Sea House Restaurant. But cooking in the unit and eating on the patio at sunset also made for a great evening. We snorkeled right out front of the condo and watched Sea Turtles resting on the rocks. Within walking distance there are other public beaches and eateries. The condo kitchen is very well stocked with dishes and pans and there is a closet with umbrellas and beach toys. I understand that all the units are different as they are individually owned. But our unit had everything we needed for a very enjoyable week in paradise!

  This was a lovely unit, large and well appointed with a nice large functioning kitchen. There was a large deck with a great view, with block out sun shades. We often can see whale in the ocean in the distance from the deck.
  It was greats snorkelling bay, with lots of sea turtles that would often beach up on the rocks, we counter 7 one evening. The bay was rough a few days, which made it unsafe to snorkel, the surfers came in and put on a show , which was impressive.
  Over all this is s lovely unit for a family, I would rent it again.

  It was a great stay. The location is perfect. The cove is great for snorkeling and paddle boarding. The unit is a little outdated with regards to furnishings. The furniture was not very comfortable to sit in. Beds were ok, sheets could be of better quality. The twin bedroom is very small, suitable for children, but not really adults. Air conditioner in twin room wasn’t hooked up properly. Lights in one of the bedrooms only partially worked. Shower doors worked, but had some damage. Patio screen door came off hinges half way through our stay. Loft bedroom was warm and had a lot of street noise. Regardless of these flaws we still enjoyed our stay.

  Our trip to Honokeana Cove was lovely. The condo view is just like the picture. The cove is great for snorkeling and water sports. The sea turtles come up on the beach every afternoon for sun and to join everyone for Happy Hour. This is a very special place. It is centrally located. You can walk to public beaches. Hike in the rain forest or run into town for a whale watching tour (which will not disappoint). The condo is spacious with a beautiful large deck and an excellent kitchen. Although we were only two people, you could comfortably have a family or a group of couples in this unit. In the morning, many of the tropical birds are active in the tree in front of the unit. They are so beautiful. The grounds are well kept and the staff is friendly and very helpful.

The picture on the web site is exactly what we saw from our second floor balcony. The cove was nice and easily entered from a few stone steps. Two sandy beaches Napili and Kapalua were 5 minutes away, would highly recommend this to others.

  We have stayed in unit 210 at Honokeana Cove two times in the last two years. The owners remodeled the unit after our first stay and all I can say is wow!! Gorgeous views from the unit, clean, modern with an island/aloha vibe. The cove offers perfect daily snorkeling and BBQ dinners.
  The grounds are immaculately kept, clean and welcoming. Staff are kind and respectful.
  Tons of sea turtles, fish, sunsets and breaching whales to be seen here!
  #210 is light, bright with lots of fresh air, A/C, ceiling fans, hard floors, top of the line appliances and so much more. We'll be back again next year!

  We had an incredible vacation at Honokeana Cove Unit #210. This unit feels like home and shows pride of ownership.
  The beds were extremely comfortable, the pillows were amazing ! I especially loved the cotton bedding! There is an air conditioner in the bedrooms for the warm nights. I personally enjoyed the white noise of the air conditioner at night.
  
  The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to prepare your meals. There is a great variety of plastic cups to use to take your beverage outdoors to enjoy poolside or your evening stroll to watch the sunset from Napili Bay or enjoy observing the turtles in the cove outside your condo. The outside patio is wonderful to sit and enjoy the view during your meals or just to hang out and relax!
  We enjoyed the Wednesday night PuPu party, getting to know the other guests. We snorkeled everyday in the cove. Su and Betty in the office are wonderful. The facilities are so well cared for. This is truly a little slice of heaven. I understand why many people continue to come back for so many years, we have already booked our next trip!

  Property was clean and in an excellent location. We enjoyed our stay. Renters should know about a couple of issues though.
  
  Because you need to leave windows open at night to stay reasonably cool, you will hear street noise. All the bedrooms have windows facing the street and cars drive by every few seconds. The street is mostly quiet from midnight until 5am, but outside of those hours you will have a hard time sleeping if you are a light sleeper.
  
  You may be wondering... "But the description mentions air conditioning; can't the windows be closed and run the AC?" There are two semi-portable AC units in the condo, one in each of the downstairs bedrooms. They are noisy too, so using them probably wouldn't help with noise. Also, since heat rises, it's the upstairs loft bedroom that gets the hottest and it does not have an air conditioner.
  
  So, the only negative about this rental was that our nights were a bit noisy and hot.

  Our family vacation at Honokeana Cove was simply wonderful!!! Unit 210 was perfect for our group of 7 which included 2 kids and one baby. The rest of the family was next door in 211! We loved the beautiful view of the cove in the mornings and the sunsets were awesome! The landscaping is gorgeous and the condo was very comfortable and well equipped. The pool was great...especially for the grandsons! We all enjoyed paddle boarding in the cove and the snorkeling was fantastic! And the turtles...what a treat! Su and Betty are very friendly and so helpful! This is our second time staying at Honokeana Cove and we can't wait to come back!!

  We loved our stay in the cove. We snorkeled every day and loved the easy access to the ocean just steps from our condo. Our family was enchanted with the turtles. The sandy beach was a pretty close walk down the road. The management was friendly and available if there was a concern. The condo was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped with what I needed to make meals. The condo had a couple of boogie boards for the kids to use. We appreciated having air conditioning in the bedrooms downstairs because the weather was quite warm. The upstairs bedroom was pretty uncomfortable at night for sleeping in my opinion because there’s no air conditioning, but fortunately my daughter wasn’t bothered. She likes the heat. We really enjoyed our stay at the Honokeana cove and would love to stay there again.

  First let me say the place doesn't lie, there are most def turtles. And you will see them and they're so cool. The snorkeling is right on, amazing sea life to see. The suite is impeccably decorated, beachy theme, arty and smart. T%hey thought of a lot of things one might need. No beach stuff sadly. towels but that's it. some of the other rental units had them. (if you want some they are nearby to rent and worth it. So my biggest issue with the place was the stairs! One BROKE while walking down from the loft bedroom. thankfully it was fourth from the bottom so there wasn't a big fell. My husband who isn't particularly heavy (180lbs?) fell while stepping down and it wasn't fixed until later the following day. It made it quite inconvenient to step up and down past this stair and them I noticed every squeek and give to every stair up and i hyng tight to the handrail. I think it would be a great idea for the new ownders to re-enforce those stairs. also stocking some detergent would be a thoughful touch, also a coffee grinder too. Otherwise I give this place a 4/5stars because its a great spot. And clean and fun to stay at.

This unit does have beach chairs, boogie boards and coolers for the beach in the downstairs closet. We always recommend that our guests rent snorkel equipment. That insures that the equipment is properly sterilized. This unit is my best three bedroom unit with all of the beautiful recent upgrades. You should have seen it before this new owner took over! It would be good to know that there is no centralized air conditioning and there is only a TV in one of the bedrooms (in case that is important to you during your stay). The rooms have large AC units in them but they kept the two lower rooms cooled. The top floor room ran very hot so plan accordingly.

  The pictures tell it all. The property is very clean and very well kept.
  The managers are very friendly and helpful.
  The swimming and snorkeling are right there. You can walk to several restaurants and beaches near by.
  Downtown Lahaina is about a 20 minute drive with lots to do there.
  
  I staid in this condo in January with my family and looked forward to coming back. Since that stay the owners have put in new windows. curtains and have painted an accent wall.
  It is very roomy and cozy at the same time.
  I will definitely go back to the same place and same condo.

  The children and grandchildren stayed in #210 and loved it. We visited often and the improvements made such a difference. We commend the owner for his work in refurbishing the unit. Everyone had the best time and the view was remarkable. Even saw the whales breaching in the water and got a couple of shots with the camera that are keepers. Most enjoyable stay. The cost was well worth the experience.

  Unit #210 is Light,bright & airy w/high ceilings. The decor is tropical and comfortable. The loft bedroom is charming w/a "tree house" feel. The Snorkeling in the cove was excellent! We saw 8 turtles- Napili Bay next door has excellent boogey and paddle boarding. We walked to several good restaurants-The Gazebo,Sea House & Kitchen 5315. The staff was very friendly and made us feel right at home. The BBQ's on the cove front were awesome to cook on and the tiki torches they light at sunset make a very beautiful and unforgettable setting. The famed Honolua Bay is a very short drive as well as D.T. Fleming, Kaanapali and Lahaina Town. Napili Market is very close by and had all we needed for our stay.

  If you are looking for a beach experience this is not for you. There is no beach you enter the water via a narrow walkway and have to find your way thru the large slippery rocks, my cut up legs are evidence. If you like snorkeling then it's good but so are other locations that you don't have to traverse rocks. The pool is small but nice. This particular unit was not clean, especially the curtains/drapes throughout were filthy. There was no air conditioning, maybe I missed that in the original description and the temps were 85+. We paid for a 3 Bedroom the 3rd being a loft that we couldn't use because it was so hot up there! So the kids had to camp out in the living room as a result.

  This is our fourth time going to Honokeana Cove. As usual, it was wonderful. We have stayed in a different unit every time we've gone and they are very clean, right on the water, and Su and her assistant are very sweet and helpful. My only complaint this time was that there had been a storm and the turtles left for a while though it was too rough to snorkel anyway... But normally there are so many turtles and the snorkeling is great. It's not the Hilton so if you want luxury and pampering go somewhere else. This is for people that want a great Hawaiin experience. They even have a pupu party on Wednesdays so you can meet the other guest in you want. You have to make your reservation early though because it gets sold out fast. I was very lucky to get in this time on short notice. Thanks Su!! See y'all again asap!

  This is the third time we've stayed at Honokeana. This time we were in Maui to see Ok State play in the Basketball Invitational. We have stayed in the same unit each visit, and as usual, it was comfortable and clean. The staff is friendly and the grounds impeccable. The rooms here are not luxurious, but without a doubt, they have the best view on the west shore and close proximity to The Gazebo, the Sea House and good snorkeling.

  The rental is in an outstanding location. The unit was large enough for our family. However, having been to Maui several times, we found the condo unit to be very outdated, not particularly clean and lacking in some amneties. It is really beneficial to have a washer and dryer in the unit with a family and this unit does NOT have them. Also, the complex should install more outdoor BBQ grills for the renters. Most families enjoy grilling and the wait for 3 grills is very frustrating. Since this is an outdoor, water sport destination, it is not at all convenient to supply each guest with just one beach/pool towel for an entire week. Lastly, room service with clean bed, bath and kitchen linens each day should be provided.

    Aloha David, thank you for your comments. This unit is a bit outdated but I assure you it was clean. When a unit is outdated it tends to seem unclean. It is very hard to clean older things. I am so hoping that this unit will sell in the near future (it is on the market) and have a new owner restore this great 3 bedroom condo. The view is breathtaking and it accommodates up to 7 people. Most condo rentals do not supple daily maid service or daily towel exchange. For your convenience it is probably better for you to stay in a hotel if you desire such services. Our never ending return guests are thrilled just to be here and expect nothing more than a clean, friendly place to have a very restful vacation. We are not a 5 star resort and don't claim to be one. Our clientele consists of 75 percent return guests...I guess we are doing something right. We sure hope you will be back to the cove again some day. mahalo, Su

  Honokeana Cove is a gorgeous location, and we've been visitors many times. We were very surprised by the poor condition of the condo itself. We had no idea, based on previous experience, that any of the units was in such poor condition. We understand that the condo is for sale, but since it is still being rented, some steps should be taken to improve its appearance and cleanliness. The carpet is old and dreary, and should be cleaned. A new bathroom rug is needed. In use is a tattered piece of the wall-to-wall carpet. This unit should be provided with higher quality towels....some of the towels were so old as to be like sand paper. These are just a few suggestions...I could make many more. Potential renters should be made aware of the condo's condition, and the price should be dropped until it is remodeled.

  We had a wonderful stay at Honokeana Cove! The grounds are beautiful, the staff was wonderful. The view from the condo was exceptional and housekeeping does a wonderful job. Unfortunately the unit itself did not match everything else. The sheets were cheap, the appliances were cheap, the glasses, kitchen utensils were old. The shower water knob was broken, the blinds in the bedroom fell apart when closing, the screen door screen was loose. I would recommend the property but not this particular unit.

  The cove is the best you will find. Excellent snorkeling with lots of fish and turtles. Each unit is separately owned so check the pictures to choose the best one. Our unit #210 was plenty of space, however the unit was run down and outdated. This unit would be amazing with a remodel. The view from the lanai is gorgeous. We will definitely be back, but to a different unit.

  We stayed at HC 20 years ago and returned with our 2 youngest kids and their spouces. It was as good as we remembered it. The location was great for both us and for our 20 something kids and their spouces. Close enough to Lahina, but quiet enough for great relaxation...for us old folks!
  
  Road noise can be annoying in the morning from the nearby traffic on the coastal road, but we were waking up early anyway... that is the only negative comment that I would have.

  This is the 2nd time we've stayed at Honokeana and I can't imagine staying anywhere else. There are very few 3-bedroom condos available in this area, but this one was perfect for our family and at such a reasonable price! While the interior was adequate for our needs, the exterior is spectacular. The view of ocean and islands, the well-kept grounds and pool and the great snorkeling with plenty of fish and turtles make this location superior to the much more expensive accomodations up the coast.

  It was a corner unit which was nice, but it was very close to the main road and the traffic noise began very early in the morning. Perhaps if we could have rented a condo in the building further from the road it would have been quieter. Otherwise, the grounds were very nice and the snorkeling in the cove was very good. Access was easy and we did see quite a few turtles. The condo itself could use some updating, but otherwise was very clean and well appointed. The staff at the cove were nice and accommodating. It was easy to walk to Napili Beach and there was a good southern bbq restaurant right next door. They made delicious cinnamon rolls in the mornings three days a week which we brought back to the condo for breakfast.

  Perfectly situated with a pool, snorkeling and a walk to the beach, my family loved Honokeana Cove. The guests and staff were friendly and the kids felt safe and comfortable there. The unit was big enough to house all 7 of us and the kitchen was well equipped. We loved that we could walk to so many destinations from Honokeana Cove but yet it was accessible to the highway. We plan on returning in the future.
